The highlight of the week so far was seeing my IDOL, Renee Fleming, on Tuesday night at the Schuster Center. The concert was soooo amazing... I was kinda bummed at first because I didn't know much of the repetoire she was singing, but everything she sang was incredible. I went through the same thing. And I don't know if this helps, but for me, I had to decide whether I had an identity outside of music. And I did. Committing to music at that level is a life-chaning decision. Don't feel bad that you're having "issues" with making the right choice. Give yourself some time, and be damned anyone who isn't positive or who isn't supporting you-- no matter what your decision ends up being.

Thanks, that definitely does help. I am making that decision now, but I'm still unsure of my identity outside of music. You're right, it's a very tough choice, and I'm just hoping I make the right one.

Whatever your choice is.. it WILL be the right one. It's hard when you are surrounded by people who seem so committed, and you haven't yet found yourself at that point. Believe me I know. But give yourself time. It will all be good. Take care, looking forward to seeing you guys.
