When we get our house with a nice covered porch, you and the mister are going to have to come over and sit in rocking chairs with Alex and me. We'll have mint juleps, sweet tea, and watch the rain while shucking corn or something. That's one of my favorite memories growing up, and I'd love to recreate it one day.

Charlotte gets humid at times, but I love that it's not so in your face as it is in places like Atlanta or Jackson. It helps to make the adjustment easier as summer comes, and it allows me to be outside so much more than I was the whole time I was in Jackson. That was another thing that I loved when I was a kid (Louisiana was a bit better because we at least had a gulf breeze to stir up the humid air) and that I've already recreated here.
