I dunno about French catholic xmasses, but Swiss-German ones kick ass. xmass eve, everbody goes over to my grandma's house and we eat dinner and homemade junk food (FUDGE!!!) and around midnight we open our presents from everyone who isn't our immediate family (grandaprents, cousins, aunts and uncles) and then we go home and try to sleep. In the morning we open our immediate family gifts and then go to church and come home and eat a ginormous brunch.

sometimes we go to midnight mass, too, before opening presents on xmass eve

ok so the flying really isnt that bad and youll meet people and talk to them on the lan i highly highly highly advise from experience) take a suitcase no more than 45 lb. for check on take a small suitcase weighing as much as you want (pack it full) for your carry on and make your personal item a backpack and just pt your purse in it, im really sorry i listened to the AFS ˝restctions˝for my stuff cause other than the check on its really all a suggestion and i have stuff at home now that i wish i had brought. like my all cds and more clothes and more books and so on, just take my word for it. ok i love you and now i really have to go to bed nighty night
