The book isn't really the problem. The reactions to the book were the problem. They were the catalyst for all the questions crashing around in my head. The reactions caused me to question my own beliefs and faith and what the hell I was thinking involving myself in such a violent and closed minded faith system. I am really questioning the motives of some churches and their advertisements. Is it an attempt to only fill chairs or pews? Are we even supposed to mass advertise? Can we be so off if our hearts are truly in the right place? Will they not know us by our works? Why do we have to make little plastic signs or billboards about services and what not? ( Read more... )
