I spent 6 hours in the hospital this morning as a result of driving my truck head long in to the side of a commercial dump truck. This was, of course, not my fault. Patton got pretty banged up too. We will be fine, but the Jimmy's memorial service will be Saturday at 10am.

Patton and I were on our way home from Beth's on Aurora. instead of going over to I-5, I decided to just take Aurora as far south as I could. You know that scary part of Aurora south of Seattle with all those trucks? Well, it turns out there is a reason to be scared. Anyhow, we're going south on Aurora, south of Seattle doing about 40, (the speed limit) when all of a sudden a dump truck, the kind with the two dumper parts and the steel bar that connects them, "didn't see me", and decided to turn left right in front of me (or go straight across, I'm not sure) and ended up giving me enough time to hit the brakes and hope really fucking hard that I slow down enough to survive.
