Title: your journey's been etched onto your skin Rating: R Characters: Helen Magnus/Will Zimmerman Summary: he has spent three years trying to unravel her. She has had him unraveled since before they met Read it on AO3 ( Read more... )
Alright, so, first: Y U NO WRITE ALWAYS? Because this is very lovely.
Second, you've written my favourite thing in Sanctuary fic and that is introspective Will & Helen. I love him thinking about her and how you've got him very aware of the imbalance in their relationship.
missparker wants me to write the scene that comes after this where they make out (how did I ever get to the point in my life where I am writing Will/Helen? Maybe because I want Will to not be a huge herpderp)
I just love that there is so much about her that he will never know (and he accepts that, even though he's always gonna be a nosey little motherfucker and try and find out as much as he can), so how can he not sit there and wonder about those things?
That's why I love them together so much. I actually like Helen/Will the best out of all the Sanctuary pairings because I love the inequality of their relationship. And not inequality in a bad way, just in a way that Will wants to understand her but there's just so much to Magnus that he never seems to finish peeling away layers. Although my favourite fic kink is where they DON'T do it but there's this tension between them that stretches out as they try to figure each other out.
It's literally the only time I'm not giggling at Will's attempts to be a person.
