[His first regain.

His heartbeat soars as he stares, dumbfounded, at the contents of the package he has received in the mail.  A simple Pokeball.  Red and white with no particular distinction, nothing to note its contents.  But he knows what has been returned to him, of course, in the same way that a father could tell his identical twins ( Read more... )

[Here's Hilda and Samurott! She followed the sound of tree death.]

You got a Pokemon back, too!

[Bisharp sheathes its blades and turns to meet the two, its cold gaze unwavering from underneath its helmet. Grimsley seems much more pleased to see the young trainer.]

Ah, Hilda. It seems we've both been reunited with our better halves.

[Samurott meets Bisharp's gaze with one of his own. Hilda's beaming, though.]

Yeah, at least something good happened because of--all that stuff that happened.

All that stuff...

[Grimsley and Bisharp both cross their arms almost in unison, for somewhat different reasons. There is a brief moment of silence.]

If I didn't know better, it almost seems as if it were a test of some sort. But nothing came from it... Passed or failed, we got our rewards.

I hope you remained unscathed through 'all of that stuff'?

[Guess who else is coming over as well, with three of her own Pokemon in tow. Lyra usually trains at her house now, but occasionally she'll give in and walk on over to the park to train.

Like right now.]

I've never seen that Pokemon before.

[Desire to train has been washed away by curiosity.]

[Bisharp will stop chopping up firewood for a few moments to turn its baleful gaze upon Lyra's Pokemon, seemingl to assess them. Grimsley will politely dip his head at the girl before speaking.]

Ah, not surprising, if you come from a region outside Unova. Few are willing to travel so far.

[The sudden crashing and booming scares the absolute pants off of Dexter. He looks frantically around for the source of the noise... only to see... one really awesome looking thing. He kinda cowers behind a tree, peeking out slightly to watch it do more stuff.]

[And Dexter's wish is satisfied. Thrusting a hand out, Grimsley gives one final command.]

Night Slash!

[The steel warrior leaps into the air, performing an entirely unnecessary front flip as its blades extend out before it. It lands on the ground heavily, beyond the fallen tree... There is a brief moment of silence.

Then the tree explodes into six different pieces.]

[Now, time to figure out what this strange creature is, he slowly approaches the two, apprehensive as ever of that magnificent creature. Was it man? Was it machine? Was it something else entirely? Soon, Dexter hopes to find out]

W-Wow! That was... impressive!

[Grimsley will notice his audience then and smile indulgently.]

Indeed it was.

[How modest. He bows.]

But until you've seen a true Pokemon battle... you're only watching the previews.

UWAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

[ That tree the pokémon just cut down? Keima was sitting under it to beat the heat and play his video games on his handheld. He scrambles away after having been given the near fatal to-the-shoulders headhaircut. ]

What are you doing?! Have you no shame? This isn't a video game, this is the real! Your monster can't cut down things willy nilly!

[Grimsley blinks, slightly surprised as to how he had missed the man sitting underneath the tree. At the merest of wave of a palm, Bisharp immediately stops in its tracks. Grimsley himself offers a deep bow, a bit capricious in nature.]

My good fellow, I go about cutting much larger things down willy nilly in the real world as a general rule. Although humans aren't usually on the chopping block. My sincere apologies.

You could train your friend to cut something challenging like rocks!

Rocks aren't much of a challenge anymore at this point, I fear. No, what I intended to achieve here was precision.
