also, don't buy box wine. shame shame. that is cheaply made crap. If you are buying things to be "conscience" buy from some local vineyards, I'm sure they have some fab Bordeaux blends, and also some native muscadine stock. By imbibing local you will help with allergies come spring/fall, and support your local economy! Also taking a trip to vineyards not far away is a fantastic date to surprise your wife with.

It's fun to read the tiny paperbacks on our shelves, which feel so different from the new hardbacks I've been reading. The small font seems ancient!
Thank you for the wine advice, Mr. Sullivan. But I thought this was your son's blog? I know that box wine isn't close to what's produced by local vineyards, but I'm in it for reduced waste. Throwing away glass bottles makes me ill, but that's all that our local producers offer. We won't entirely neglect the good stuff, just as I won't exclusively drink canned beer, but for the most part, I'm going green with my alcohol.
How's your novel coming?
