I almost died in the shower today..

All right so I have 2 showers in my house. One upstairs in the bathtub which is the main one we all use and one downstairs which is really cool cause it is a walkin stand up shower but oddly it is the least used one, probably because it is in a really small bathroom and it is harder to get around in it ( Read more... )

K let me explain.. this happened IN the shower. She spilled shampoo all over the shower floor. And I can't put a rubber mat in there cause then I would cover up the drain .. it is a stand up shower like at the gym.

my sister was 19 when I moved out of the house for good... she STILL hadn't learned not to let the conditioner slick up the entire floor... she'd go through a bottle a week *literally* and I learned a long time ago to step gingerly and allow the water to run for a moment and how to use my feet to wipe away a lot of the residue. It's AMAZING how slick that shower floor can be!

they do make special mats for showers with the drain in the middle... they're harder to find, however.

It was CRAZY slippery. I have learned my lesson to let the shower run for a while before getting in, although my daughter now says that she prefers baths again and has no interest in the shower. For now!
