The ending was perfect. fka; I really did fall in love with this. I loved all the individual scenes and how you didn't tell the story chronologically. All the little details you put in like the tokonoma and the genkan! ♥ GUH I MUST SLEEP NOW BUT I WILL BE BACK TO SQUEE ABOUT EVERYTHING I LIKED SPECIFICALLY. IS THAT OKAY? OKAY. WELL. You have no idea how happy I am that all the pieces worked together for you, because seriously, while non-linear plots are totally my secret passion (along with dream sequences and tea time, and holy shit do I wish I were kidding about that), I'm perpetually terrified when I put them out in public that they'll be too fragmented and will only make sense to me.
