My Impression on Hyotei 3rd Season

So I just watched the show and want to leave out my thoughts for whoever cares!

It was very nostalgic to hear "Hello Good Day how are you" remixed by the ichinen trio. Since I don't like the ichinen trio all that much I barely hear their songs and when I do get the chance to relisten it is quite nostalgic, weirdly enough.

New Seigaku theme song is ( Read more... )

This is probably unnecessary advice, but honestly I think Tsune's Atobe acting is unbeatable, that man is a genius (if you ask me). It's best not to compare them and try to see Miura's good points, his voice has it's charms and if you ask me he has pretty much no weak spots.

If you want fanservice for SP you'll get it! The last phrase of the duet is like "I'm glad that it was you with me on this match". They really raised the bromance bar since "darenimo mienai ito".

Hope you enjoy it!!

Woah, thank you for the report! It sounds like I have something to look forward to because my bias towards Hyotei is extremely strong.

Can't wait to see Atobe being himself, and I hope you get a good seat for Rikkai! <3

And am so jealous you got to see it X"D

I think you'll love it! They did a great job balancing old and new songs and did a great job trying to do their own thing, it definitely shines!

Yes, the Hyoutei song!! Usually the newer songs don't stick in my head at all, but I found myself humming that song after having only seen the show once. That just proves how awesome and catchy it was! Can't wait for it to come out on CD! >w<

A bit of a late comment, but they still do high-fives! Just not as much of them. I saw Seigaku vs Hyoutei a few times at the beginning of the Osaka run and got enthusiastic high-fives from Jirou and Muromachi. I also got a few kids (Higashikata, Inui, Oishi?) running by slapping the hands of everyone on the aisle. But I think having replaced New Wave ~ Jumping up! High touch! with Shakariki Fight Bunbun, it's more up to the cast and what they feel comfortable with - Kaidou for example passed by me a few times but was pretty clearly actively avoiding touching people ^^; Personally I think some of them (Fuji and Kita, for example) are really good at giving fanservice without the actual physical contact, but ( ... )

When you put it that way I think it's for the best. Don't want anybody having to touch people without having to! This does make me wish Japan's culture was a bit more skinship oriented though. I just wanna bond with the people who do something I love so much (I'm not even attracted to males)

But I started watching on Season 3 and I guess I was pretty spoiled by all the high touching and miokuri that happened so far. And I like the looks of them when they see my big gaijin face. It's also the last show for this seigaku so I don't know T_T
