A surprise visit!
[5AM Wednesday Morning]
The room was quiet and still, the two occupants sleeping peacefully. On Utena's desk, a slim white cellphone burst into song.
With the chorus of a Morning Musume song in her ears, Utena stumbled gracelessly out of the top bunk, landing with a thud. She was used to getting up early to jog, but she normally woke up naturally, without loud electronic music blaring. Wincing, knowing that Minako was probably Not Amused, she quickly picked up the small phone, preparing to turn it off. Before she hit the button, however, she glanced at the screen and saw a familiar name there.
"Moshi moshi?"
Wakaba's bubbly voice emerged from the phone.
"Ouji-sama! Guess where I am! The airport! Your favorite Wakaba is coming to visit her Prince!"
Glancing over at Minako's prone form, Utena slipped out of the room, wearing a tank top and panties. No telling if Minako's awake but I'm not taking any chances. No one will see me this early, right?
"Wakaba! How did you manage to get here?"
"Oh-ho, U-ten-a, it's Golden Week, did you forget?"
"I didn't forget, but it's a long way over here..."
"Sore wa himitsu desu!"
"Wakaba!"
"Mou...It was my birthday present from Kaa-san. Don't worry, Utena!"
"Hai, hai. When will you get here?"
"I'm going to take a taxi from the airport. They said it would take a couple of hours."
Utena leaned against the wall.
"That means you'll get here while I'm in class, then."
"I'll come find you-"
The call dropped, and Utena redialed quickly, only to be greeted by a busy signal. With a sigh, she slipped back into the room to dress, feeling sure that she wouldn't be able to get back to sleep.
Guess I'll get some extra jogging in this morning...
[OOC: Wakaba will show up during one of Utena's classes. For the purposes of this RP I'm going to make her a Mage, albeit a fairly inept one. (Poor Wakaba...) I'll be writing her arrival in another post later on, but please feel free to comment to this one.]
