Ahh! God! You commented while I was screaming in pain with the icon table I was trying to use! Not as planned, you saw the post uncomplet and in a mess. :DDD
Wow, you are a fan (or at least you like) Okita! I didn't know that! I am a huge fan of him, since... December 205. :) He is to awesome!
Oh, I see you enjoyed some! I coloured the manga scans in various diferent "styles", but if I had to choose my fave from here, it would be # 15. :)
Well, now that the post is complete, I added meanwhile 11 alternative icons. ;3 Will add the rest soon.
Thank You so much for your great comment, dear Nomo! It made me really happy!
Oh, let me see if I understood. :] You were about to read the Manga but you didn't know the characters by that time (or at least, who were who)... And *bingo*! That character (design, et cetera) was clearly screeming "I CAN ONLY BE AN OKITA!". When I watched the first episode (I read the Manga after it), I didn't know nothing about it (just some icons and other images were enough to set me interested), and when I realised about the historical guidelines and that that pretty "girl" was the famous Okita... Ohhhhh! But I liked the idea. Quite much. :9 However, the Anime version could have be muuuuch more well done, in various perspectives. What a wasted potential - I think.
This Okita Souji clearly is my fave version among the lots we can find in various Animes (e.g. Gintama, Rurouni Kenshin, Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto - damn name!). I love his design, his personality, his cute-scary duality...
:]
Sorry, what a loooooooooooooooooooooong comment. Fell free to totally skip it. *
Oh my god, that's awesome to 'hear'!! Wow. Thank You so very much (*hug, hug!*) for your nice comment and... for liking them! Uhh. ;3
PS - The psycho-battle mode...! :3 I must confess I love him 'even' under these circumstances. I love his cute-scaaaaaaary duality, switchable in seconds if needed... ;]
Lol, oh, I love his duality, as you said, and his psycho-battle mode... just not the art of it. Actually, other than a couple shots of him in the manga, and when he's in chibi form, I don't really like the way he looks that much. Which is a shame, since he's my favorite character. I love him anyway, lol.
But yes, your icons-- adorable. And I liked the backgrounds of them. And the coloring. It's sometimes hard to remember that you guys have to color all that yourselves. *phew* Lot of hard work there. Or, well, long and tedious work.
Oh, I though you were talking about the two points as a couple - the art and the fact. ;D I'm all cleared now! :) And I can say I agree in some moments - do you remmember (in the Anime) the 'unframed' face they drwan in Souji when he first fights with Sakamoto (ep.11)?
I'm quite happy to see that at LJ some Okita fans can be found... :3
Thank you so much for your kind, lovely and interesting comment, once again! ♥
