Yay, I finally got up the nerve to tell James he needs to start lifting the seat.

No more sitting on wee at night!

If this doesn't work I'll have to give that Islam idea some more thought.

Assuming he knows what you do for a living, tell him that contact with wee costs extra, and if he doesn't knock it off, you're going to start charging him. :)
