Oh, by all means... I lock because I'm a teacher, and so I don't want EVERYTHING out there for the world to read. I'm pretty much an open book, so happy reading. I try not to be boring, but fail at that sometimes.
I look forward to getting to know you!
By the way, I sat there for something like three minutes watching your Björk vs. P. Diddy icon and actually laughed out loud a couple times. FanTAStic.
Exactly. Though can you never believe I've never performed the Fauré Requiem? Done Duruflé twice - the conductor was so bad the second time that she needed to be flogged.
Well met! Can't promise anything of real excitement goes on here, but I'll let you judge that over time. :-)
Well, I always have something exciting going on in mine, which consequently leaves me with little time to actually write about them.
Go figure.
I performed it once with my high school chorus. Never Durufle, though that reminds me to add it to my Amazon wish list. We did the Frostiana with the Springfield Symphony choir, though. That was AMAZING.
Duruflé is one of the most beautiful pieces I've ever been lucky enough to perform in my life. The introduction to the Domine Jesu Christe movement is amazing. I actually thought about arranging that theme for a friend's wedding, but I figured repurposing a requiem theme for a wedding might not be the best move.
And as a bonus, of course, plenty of jokes about pœnis inferni being a sexually-transmitted disease.
Not familiar with Frostiana... I assume this is a piece I should get to know?
Yeah, I'm adding all the folks I can remember from the wine tasting last weekend. Besides, I just realized that you guys were on here, or I'd have done it from the Ice Bowl last year.
We have so many friends in common, I'm sorry it took me so long to come over here and add you. I went to college with Dan and Sarah, I have spent the weekend at Gretchen_marie's house a time or two, mdsteele and binxcat have come to a surprize dinner with me and my husband....and well...who doesn't love to read Prynne.
I'm sure some of them can ensure that I'm no student.
And you know, I'm completely embarrassed that I haven't made the first move either. Do you know that we missed meeting in person by only a couple hours one day last summer?
Welcome to the fold, though I can't promise anything in here is even remotely interesting. Show yourself around and feel free to grab anything you want out of the fridge. I really look forward to getting to know you!
I remember that day...birdiebirdieNovember 11 2008, 02:13:10 UTC
In fact the non-meeting of you that day was probably best since Dan and I were returning home from a funeral - I just had to go home and be all emo about life, the universe and everything. heh heh
I'm a bit of an awkward dork meeting people in the first place, but especially after long *wah* roadtrips, eh?
I should start doing thistoasterferretNovember 23 2008, 19:44:05 UTC
Add me because I dont yet have enough internet reading to consume my life, and having LJ friends will spur me into updating mine....thereby eating up more of my excess of free time!
