Really? I thought "The Color Purple" movie was way BETTER than the book--but I've heard good things about the show, too.
I'm glad you're diggin' on the Apple. When it comes to New York, I've always wanted to go up there and do Fraunces Tavern; I have a thing for funky, 18th Century restaurants with people in costumes pretending it's still 1772. Really, I think I'm reliving a past life sometimes, some happy-go-lucky time floating through the American Revolution.

Yeah the Apple is really growing on me! :) I agree that I did like the movie better than the book, but I still enjoyed the book as well. The show was just amazing...
