No wonder Phil Jimenez is winwinwin. And I was just talking to Catherine about how the only people who really tend to identify with Classic!Storm (and Wonder Woman) are queer-aware-or-identifying activist individuals.

Also, again - I attest to that 'Why does every writer relate with Cyclops' thing again.

Oh my freakin wahtever, do ALL the writers identify with the manly, tormented, misunderstood, hard on the outside soft on the inside, gooey chocolate centers type male characters? CYCLOPS? Followed (unsurprisingly) by Wolverine? Colossus? Cable? What the hell. Wait, nevermind, I just named every major title in the X-verse with those characters -- never fucking mind. That IS every male character. Sigh. The most interesting thing is how they really feel like they can identify with these characters(whatever, invisible backpack of privilege/fucked up emo-male complex). Is it at all notable that the people who would prolly be minorities in the business...DIDN"T choose those alpha male type characters? Maybe not, but seriously? Cyclops? ...CYCLOPS ( ... )

PS Anyone who didn't choose Storm, Jean, or Pyro is fail.

Rock on! :D

I can't understand the fascination with Cyclops and Wolverine either. I suppose Cyclops gets the nerd vote, and Wolverine is the wannabe-alpha male pick.
