"It’s something I was dragged into against my will. It’s big, and scary, and it’s coming for you, Buffy. It’s coming for everyone."

I really don't like the sound of that...
And now I have so many questions about Anya's role in all this. What she's been forced to do? By what or whom? And why? And how much trouble is she in exactly?

I really wish (Ha!) that Anya would've turned that demon back into a human just a little bit sooner. It's awful that Buffy inadvertently killed a human, and to make it even worse, someone she actually knew. This can't be easy on her.

“You’re … you’re human.”

!!!!! The possibility of this happening had crossed my mind. But still, !!!1!1!.
I loved the moment when Buffy realized it. The way everything else just faded away for a moment was wonderful. And then her reaction to the realization! Even if her emotions are somehow magically enhanced, it was incredibly lovely.

"His second floor apartment, she now understood, faced the east, to the rising sun, so each morning he could watch the sun rise."Oh, Spike ( ... )

Anya's role in the big scheme of things isn't that big. You'll get some of your answers to Anya's situation in a few chapters.

The fact that Buffy killed the demon, who turned back into a human, was something I wanted to explore more but ran out of time. The demon she killed is suppose to parallel Anya's situation in a way. Should Buffy kill Anya, can Anya turn back to a human? Plus I was going to focus on Spike being human and how that could relate to Anya. But this is a Spuffy fic and something I didn't want to end up with 100 chapters, so I scratched that out.

I have lots of back story for this that could be stand alone fics, such as the year Spike was away and human and Anya's situation.

And Spike being is human was something I was worried people wouldn't like, but it's important for the over message I want to send. I was also worried the realization scene was written just a bit OTT. I'm glad you liked it!

Spike had a hard time finding that apartment, but it was very worth it in the end.

Thanks for reading! <3

Yeah, I figured that much. But it's interesting anyway! :)

"I didn't want to end up with 100 chapters, so I scratched that out."

:D That's very understandable... Better to keep the story from meandering too much!
I for one am all for focusing and expanding on those separate themes later in stand alones. It's a good way to give them the attention they deserve. Looking forward to see how you would explore it all!

I'm really wishing I put more time in Anya's part now! I want to make my readers happy!

I don't have plans right now for Spike's and Anya's stand alone fics (those would be companion pieces to this), there are clues here and there in the coming chapters about their history but I'll be putting up my fanfic writing coat for awhile after I finish this.

Maybe one day! :)

“It’s affecting everyone.”

Spike is human! How will Buffy react? Especially now when SHE is changing so.

Yup, Spike being human and Buffy changing are very interconnected. Next chapter will have Buffy's reaction and what she plans to do about it.

Thank you for reading, hope you will continue to enjoy! <3

Oh I knew it! *turns into Xander for a moment and does Snoopy dance* He he.
I realy feel for all of them here- Spike's pain, Buffy losing her powers, Xander and Anya. I am looking forward to Spike's story as to ho.w it happened. I'm wondering whether it was similar to cannon. Also Anya's little sppech really intrigued me. Looking forward to more...

*Dances along with you* Yay!

You won't know Spike's full story regarding the past year but a good chunk of it by chapter 11.

I did want to make them all sympathetic, because they all are going through hard times. So are Willow and Dawn, but I couldn't expand on those without over stuffing the story.

I'm super happy you're looking forward to more! <3

Ahh-- I was right about Spike! And also right about Buffy; and I have an idea about why. Looking forward to seeing how wrong I am!

Really enjoying this one; your characterizations are really well done. Anya in particular stands out in this chapter, but then she's always been a favorite.

I hope I live up to expectations on this! I'm curious about why you think this is all happening?

I have a very specific goal to this story and I think by chapter 7 you might figure it out! :)

Thank you very much! It's been really hard to write, so I'm glad I'm doing something right! :)

Anya is totally fun to write! She's awesome! <3

Uh-oh... that's terribly ominous sounding!! Something big and scary's on it's way, and our two superheroes are human! Eeek!!

Yup, evil's afoot and our heroes are powerless...or are they?

If these monsters are all metaphors, than were their powers metaphors too? Can the power that they have within, that we all have within us, make them strong enough to save the world one last time?
