That afternoon, Aiba didn’t caught up with Sho and his mom. For the whole day, he couldn’t pay attention in class. Sho’s mom in school, and suddenly bringing Sho back. That was too sudden and Aiba sensed that something bad happened.
The moment he stepped in, the house was still dark and quiet. Sho wasn’t back home yet. Something bad must had really happened, Aiba thought. He took a bath before arranged his thoughts. Today, lots of thing had happened. First was no other than his friend, Nino, who surprised him with his latest boyfriend. Next, he confessed his dark past to Sho, and Sho was still willing to accept him. Lastly, Sho’s mom came and brought Sho away forcefully. What a messy day today, he sighed as he dried himself and got dressed.
Still, he needed to call Sho, at least to let him have a piece of his mind. He reached for his phone and called Sho, yet no one picked it up. Aiba called a couple of times again, and it’s still the same. This was unusual. Sho always picked up his phone when he called, though usually Sho was the one who did all the calling.
It’s already 11 and that man still isn’t back. Aiba had waited for 6 hours. He had already finished eating his dinner, his homework and his game, and Sho haven’t called back at least once. Shouldn’t he be back already? Aiba thought as he stared at his phone when suddenly the phone rang.
It’s Sho, he fumbled and almost dropped his phone.
“Sho..Sho?” Aiba answered.
“Why did you take so long to answer my phone?” he grunted.
“I…I… Shouldn’t I be asking that? Why didn't you picked up my calls?”
“I’m busy.”
His voice.. It seems like he’s tired…
“Then are you coming back?”
“I don’t know…” Sho paused. “Masaki, there’s something I want to-“
Aiba interrupted, “Then you make sure you be back by tomorrow.”
“Masaki…”
“You sound tired. Go to sleep now. How are you suppose to teach tomorrow when you are so tired?”
Aiba heard a sigh, a loud one. “I know. You too, Masaki. You must be tired since you had cried the whole day…”
Aiba pouted, “I know.. Then see you tomorrow…”
Sho didn’t say anything but a “good night”. The student wondered what’s wrong with his attitude. Should he say something like ‘See you my dear’ or something cheesy like he always do so. Sho sounded like tired and troubled on the phone. Maybe today was pretty much a hectic day for everyone.
Forget it, he was tired and had only some energy to pull himself to bed.
Maybe tomorrow, he would cook a delicious meal for him.

The next day when Aiba woke up, he was surprised that Sho wasn’t back yet. Aiba thought that he might be in school already yet when he went to school, Sho wasn’t there. This was strange, Sho was never late for work. He loved his job too much, be it teaching or researching.
The lessons in school went as usual, thought the relief teacher couldn’t teach as well as Sho. Aiba didn’t had the mood to study at all. He just feel strange and bored without Sho messing him around. He wondered why didn’t Sho come to school? Was there something urgent at home? Or was he sick?
Oh no… Aiba patted his head lightly, is he sick? That’s why his voice…
“Aiba-chan!”
“Oh..” Aiba saw Ohno running towards him. He smiled and waved at him. “Ohno-sensei!”
“You..” he panted , “You better come with me…”
“What happened?”
“Sho…” Ohno grabbed his hand and guided him out of the school, “he might be leaving Japan!”
Aiba’s mouth was half opened. “…what?”
“Later…” Ohno said as waved to a black car which drove to him. “I will explain to you in the car. So get in!”
In the car, Ohno started explaining why was he rushing, and why Sho was leaving. Aiba’s expression changed when Ohno told him about it. It was too sudden and Aiba had no time to react to the news. But one thing for sure, he didn’t want Sho to leave.
The man had already accepted his flaws, and Aiba had already decided to live with him and accepted him to his life. And now, he’s going to leave him. There’s no way he would accept it. No way he would give him to anyone, since he’s already madly in love with Sho.
Ohno must had the world best driver. He drove them to their destination within minutes. They went through secret path and made lots of shortcut to get there. When they reached there, they rushed into the house. To their surprise, Sho’s mom had walked in from a room. She smiled when she saw Ohno and Aiba. The next minute, a few man walked out and bid goodbye. And after a few minutes, another man in black formal suit came out, nagging.
“This is so boring..” he loosened his necktie and unbuttoned the top button. “These people-“ he stopped when he saw Aiba. “Masaki… why are you here?” he muttered.
“Good afternoon Auntie.” Ohno greeted.
Sho’s mom gave a bright smile “Satoshi, what brings you here?”
“I heard news that Sho’s leaving Japan in a month time. I was here to confirm if this news was correct.”
Aiba had never see Ohno that polite and clear. That teacher couldn’t even speak properly when he teaching.
“That’s right. He’s leaving to New York city to help in expand our company.”
Sho crossed his arm over his chest and looked at one side. He didn’t want to face Aiba. He hated to see that sad face Aiba always make.
“Is that so…”
“I’m also planning to get him a citizenship there too.”
“Eh?” Sho looked at his mom with a shocked expression. “You didn’t say that!”
“Well, plan changes every time. “ she said as she walked towards Aiba. “Sometimes you just can’t stick with original plan.”
Aiba stared at her. For the first time, he want to punch her face hard. He had never got so mad at someone that he wanted to strangle her to death.
“I won’t let you do that…” Aiba murmured under his breath.
“Huh?”
“I said, “ he raised his voice. “I won’t let you do that!” Aiba looked at her with determination.
The loud voice stunned everyone there. Everyone had their focus on Aiba.
“So…” she spoke again. “are you saying you want to keep Sho here?” She laughed again.
“Yes! And you are not deciding where he want to be!”
“Wow…Great determination. I’m impressed by your bravely” she giggled.
“Thank you for your praise.”
“Then… how about it?” She rubbed her chin. “I will let Sho stay here--“
“Really?” the 3 man said in sync.
“Provided Masaki pass the challenge that I give him.”
The 3 man remained silent before Aiba spoke again.
“What challenge?”
“It’s an easy one. For your next exam, I want you to get all A for your subject.”
“Huh?” Sho was the first to oppose. “It’s impossible!”
“Then you will have to leave…” Sho’s mom snorted.
“That’s not I want too!” he argued.
“Sho, you keep quiet!” Aiba shouted before facing her again. “I will take up your challenge! I will prove to you that I can do it, and you are not taking Sho away!”
“Then good luck! I will be waiting for your news!” She smiled as she left to her own room.
Sho immediately went to Aiba. “What are you trying to do?”
“Getting your freedom back?” he let a stiff smile.
“Masaki!”
“I will be fine! The exam is in a month’s time! I just have to start studying now! And studying isn’t hard, right Ohno-sensei”
Ohno nodded. “I believe Aiba-chan can do too. Trust him. Didn’t you trust him?”
“I trust him, but this is unreasonable!” Sho was pissed by himself for not doing anything to fight for himself. “I can’t just like Masaki suffer. It’s my own problem and I can-“
“Stop saying this!” Aiba interrupted. “Your problem is my problem! And I’m not going to give up!”
“Masaki-“
Suddenly his butler appeared. “Young Master…”
He sighed. “I know. Give me a minute.”
Sho looked at Aiba. His face showed a little fear, yet was still determine. His eyes were watery yet, trying not to cry in front of him. He knew it would be hard for him, since Aiba didn’t like to study. And getting all ‘A’s was hard even for a hard-working student. He was worried for him.
“I’ll be fine!’ Aiba smiled. “I’m a lucky boy!”
“Masaki…”
Sho pulled Aiba slightly closer to himself and planted a kiss on his lips. A soft and sweet one.
“Then I await for your good news. If you need any help, I will help you…” Sho then released Aiba from his hug. “Get Aiba home safely, Satoshi!”
Sho then leave, leaving Aiba and Ohno. A few minutes after Sho left, Aiba crushed hard on the floor. He held on to his chest while he let his tears flow. The fear of losing Sho was crushing him. His heart was painful and making him hard to breath. He didn’t want to lose Sho, not him. He had never fall in love so hard before. But the challenge… It made it so easy to lose Sho. His studies were always so poor and his results were always to bottom few.
There’s no way he was going to lose Sho to some exams. There’s no way he will lose to that woman. He was determine to do it. This would be the last and final time that he will cry, and for the next month, he will be studying hard to get his Sho back. The last tears...
Ohno who was standing beside him, bent down and gave him a hug.
“You will be fine, Aiba…”
“Yes, I will fine…i will be fine..”
