Okay, I have to buckle down and admit it - I cannot get a handle on SasuTema AT ALL. I've tried, scrapped fics several times, and it's at the point that I'm wondering if I should submit a SasuTema drawing for the challenge. But it would be ugly and not nice to look at, so I'd rather not
So, can I ask you people - why do you write SasuTema? What's

I think it's a female dominance type of thing...with Tenten and Temari having ALMOST the same personality, and then there's Sasuke...
I'm so sorry! I don't know! T___T *huddles into a dark corner*

I can totally see Sasuke still hurting, still angry at himself but getting sick of all the self loathing - so he goes and find the loudest, most brazen girl he can find and [excuse the language] fucks her. Temari knows he doenst love her and doens't really care much for him herself anyway, but her pride won't let her admit that she finds it frustrating he's not emotionally hers. At the end of the day, they can both probably laugh cynically at how screwed up they are.
Whoa. I should stop right here.

I don't think - vanilla, weepy, I-can't-believe-they're-not-true-love! wimp that I am - that I've ever written anything that dark and gritty. (Except for psycho!Neji, but even in that case he was more True Love Too Far than anything else)
Maybe this would be fun to try. *ponders*

Their relationship is about dominance, it's about power struggle - just think of Bulma and Vegeta. After the years, they might become each other's best friend but neither Temari nor Sasuke would ever be like 'ZOMG I LOVED YOU" you know?
Just think of two very strong willed, hard headed people fighting for the right to be on top. It's like a love-hate relationship. It's a twisted love, in a way. Arranged marriage where they have to deal with each other would be a good field to explore. It's hard to describe how to view this relationship - reading a few TemaSasu fics that have been posted on here is a good idea.
In my opinion, their relationship is about seeking a compromise without sacrificing their own opinions and likes in the process. It's a challenge.
I know I'm confusing, but I hope this helps -_-.
