I might see the Rev. Gene Robinson at a fundraising reception on June 24 for Oasis California (an Episcopal LGBT group). He was the first openly gay, non-celibate bishop evar, and as such, quite a pioneer. Apparently, he is a pretty entertaining fellow and will give a talk on bullying. I don't know if he was harassed as a closeted young person, but

I think it is Barbara who said she was also marching in her church's LGBT support contingency in the parade. *sniff* Makes me wish I was a member of a church so I could walk with you.

I say, walk with the church. I think it is the more important message that needs to get out there.
