They really need to kill her off or else it will give an unrealistic idea to kids that people/things with AIDS don't die.

Yep. They had to use that muppet to convey that people with AIDS are still okay and it's okay for them to be friends with people.

And weren't they going to use her as an example in like Sesame Street Kenya or another place in Africa where the AIDS epidemic is big? I just remembered reading an article like 190324 years ago.
