I decided to do an experiment. I should have been grading papers, as usual, but I found yet another way to put it off. I'm in good shape on those, really. I only have 5 left to do. Anyway, I have always wanted to try making a corset. I know it's tough and intricate, but dammit, I have wanted to learn forever and I needed an excuse to put off those

wow. corsets have to be a pain to make.

It's tedious. Did you notice it took about six hours just to get the front half together? I still have to put the lace holes and the bias tape around the rough edges, and after that the front is completely done.

Lots and lots and lots of sewing and patience. It'll make the neko costume look like a picnic by the time this is done.
