What happens when you have an afternoon of boredom mixed with procrastination? Why, you give yourself a project, that's what! great post Angela! I'm going to enjoy looking through all of these. The first one is insanely creepy--all that waste!

When I was in Asheville my friend Grayson took and showed me a pretty creepy place. UNC-Asheville had tried to expand their campus at one point but got shot down by the city about half-way through the project. As a result there is this huge area up on this hill that has streets, street lights, etc. but nothing else, and none of the power is on. Lots of sewer pipes laying around that never had a chance to be installed and all the streets have grass growing in them. It's very reminiscent of something out of a zombie flick.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked reading through it. My resources on the internet all seem to be exhausted, but I'm hoping to find out more about them in the more *ahem* traditional method of research. Varosha seriously reminds me of what Va. beach would look like if it was all empty and left to rot.

That place at UNC-Asheville sounds waaaay neato. The power being on in all that empty space is extra creepy.
