Another Valentine Tale....
She watched as Derrick had left the classroom, leaving her and the valentine in it there alone. Her heart skipped a few beats with a timid bit of shock as she looked down to his valentine and read it somewhat aloud to herself. She looked back to the door of which he left with a slight blush tinting her cheeks as she did so. Clutching the note close to her heart, she, too, left for the day.
The next day were not to come soon enough. Jayn hurried on to class, trying to beat the crowd of students that would flood the hall before she got the chance to get to her room. Finally.. she smiled and entered her classroom, taking a seat at her desk and fiddling through some loose papers that seemed to always cover it.
"Ahem..." she jolted a bit in her chair as she looked up, seeing Derrick there sitting in the very back of her class room. She placed a hand over her frightened heart as she giggled underbreath, asking him the same question she always seemed to ask in order to spark conversation.... "Do you ever leave the school?" She smiled to him politely as she stood up, him coming forward to her now.
"I would normally ask you the same, however, it seems that you were running a bit late this morning. Why is that? You're usually here before the doors can be unlocked."
"Oh, heh," she placed a hand nervously behind her head as she reached down into her bag with her other hand, "you see, I was up all night making you something."
"Making something for me?"
"Yes. This." She handed him a nice little decorated envelope with a sweet smile, sitting back into her seat once again to continue working as he would open it. More to hide her slightly pink tinted cheeks.
