The muggy pre-valentine's day morning was full of chatter and crushes. All of Tenshi High gave out all their valentine's out to their sweethearts. A few people a tad nervous, and Lani had been one of them.
Standing in front of the mirror in the bathroom Lani stared at her reflection. She viewed a Petite figure with chocolate eyes. Light lip gloss painted on her lips with a small addition of black eyeliner. Her bangs feathered around her face. Running through her mind was fear. Fear of rejection, or being humiliated. Why was she not nervous on the field? In front of all those fans, cheering for the team. Being a Tenshi High cheerleader had no room for cowards on the field. But she reminded herself this isn't a football game. It is life and she put much into her tiny valentine.
"Come on Lani don't be such a baby. You know him, he knows you. EVERYTHING will be just fine." rolling her eyes at her self-conscious she shook her head and headed for the door.
Lunch at Tenshi High was regular. The groups were settled , all of everyone's own little cliques came together for their own special lunch show. Real teenage drama. No matter how stupid or basic, it was the center of their world. Not one secret nor person did anyone not know of in the cheerleading group.
Except for the new kid. Tall and tanned. Blonde, gorgeous eyes and great body. Hedaki was fresh meat. He was quite the comedian and well to get along around. Ever since Lani met him she has these slight flutterly sensations down in her stomach. She saw her target in her view and stepped foward.
With a quivering fear she solemnly walked toward him and handed him the card. Turning away quickly ,smiling he replied "Wait I have one for you too."
As they exchanged cards Lani's heart soared.
