死を受け入れるでは、[In accepting Death,]
私は今、測定する必要があります。 。 。 [I must now measure. . .]
what my life was.
Watashi wa kono minikui, minikui sekai ni umarete irai. . . [Since I was born into this ugly, ugly world. . .]
この。 。 。 [This. . .]
is my will.
She had given up on everything this ugly world had thrown at her. The lives she had taken by accident, and all the things that came with this ugly world. All the humans that pretended to be such kind hearted people when in fact, they were just as ugly as the world itself.
No human held true kindness. Humanity had rested upon uncertainty, manipulation, vengeance, and murder.
“彼はすぐに私の注意をつかんだ。 。 。 [He immediately grabbed my attention. . .]“ she spoked soft and evenly as she watched him.
His eyes glared up at the male who had attacked her. Their mission was simple, to stop her from straying away from their master.
Her confusion towards his behavior became evident, “Kare wa watashi no tame ni tatakau ni kite i ta. [He had come to fight for me.] His reasoning making no sense.”
He had told her quickly and unfearfully his reasonings. He had quickly clutched his head, his eyes flickering between that of his brown to those of a liquid gold, “誰が、何か!彼は何です!? [Who, no what! What is he!?]”
Her voice was laced in fear and confusion. He spoke such nonsense to her, and the appeared to be something completely unhuman as he fought whatever was inside him.
His actions had sent her into a miserable state. She finally had recognized that boy that stood before her. Defending her so violently, “Teishi wa watashi no tame ni tataka~tsu! [Stop fighting for me!]”She had become enraged by this human. Who was he to protect her as he did? Why would some human protect her? Why would a human fake such kindness?
She felt so defenseless and violated all at once, “Stop fighting for the person who killed your mother!” she screamed at him, waiting for some kind of reaction to her truth coated words.
“私の名前は意味彼保護 [My name means he who protects.]” His tone was even with a touch of kindness as if trying to get her to see why it was that he protected her so. His voice attempted to break free the thoughts of cruelty she held towards humanity.
Her heart throbbed into her hears as she remembered that cold, rainy day.
Kare wa hogo o nokoshi mashi ta. . . [He left his protector. . .]
He had seen her, and ran towards her. She guessed he become entranced by her at such a young age. Power did that to the human mind. It beckoned them as if teasing them to follow after them.
His mother ran after trying to stop him, not being able to see me. In a state of fear and shock I lashed out trying to escape this ugly and bitter world.
I disappeared into that big dark sky leaving his mother atop of him a pool of blood escaping from the fatal wound. She had died instantly trying to protect her child from me almost as if she had really seen me. . . The thought was obscene.
“チャンス完全にその瞬間。 。 。 [That moment completely by chance. . .] ended in tears. . .Naze watashi ga hogo sa reru ka? [Why should I be protected?] なぜあなたは私を守っている!? [Why are you protecting me!?]”her voice echoed into his ears. She demanded an explanation. Her heart sunk at the thought of her being wrong. The thought that maybe there was at least one human with a heart. One with the power to forgive, and power to protect someone like her, someone who had only know cruelty, and fear.
“Anata wa jubun ni mimawa re mashi tanode. [Because you've suffered enough.]” his words were bold. They shattered her resolve only to for a new one.
He shot past her attacking the male that had taken the others place. He wasn’t able to save his mother, but he’d save this woman. She had become bitter with the first meeting, but he hoped with the reunion her heart would warm up to his kind. His name had meant “He who protects.” and this time he would protect someone. He’d protect her.
He found himself being beaten as his other side attempted to take over distracting him from the blade that was coming towards him. Her voice rang out to him hope filled it even as it contradicted the words that came from her lips, “You don’t have to fight for me!”
His blade came forward attacking the offender a new strength from her declaration. He didn’t have to fight for her, but he wanted to. He nailed his opponent again, and again as they defended themselves. His resolve was quickly falling once more as his shoulder became slashed open.
His other side wouldn’t allow such an easy death and helped aid off the offender.
“Anata wa shinu daro u. [You will die.]”his enemy announced as he jumped forward to end this all, and take her back.
She finally had, had enough. She’d stop running, she’d give into her master, and she give the human race a chance just as long as he wouldn’t die. As her master’s assistance blade slammed down she quick rejected it. A shield formed over the boy before shattering.
She wasn’t sure how he had found her, or in the end why he had been so determined, but he had given her hope in the reunion, and now in their separation she would protect him in return by sending him home.
"私はスタンバイされず、あなたが死ぬのを見る。[I won't stand by and watch you die.]"
He stared up at her his vision blurring her face as his eyes closed tiredly. His ears rung loudly as she spoke, “ありがとうございます。[Thank you.]”
He awoke his body worn, and beaten. His anger getting the best of him as he turned in his bed slamming his fist into the pillow. He had failed again. He hadn’t protected anyone. . .he hadn’t even protected her. . .that woman.
Their next meeting. . . he’d protect her from those men.
