31337 n0 I\/I0r3... Or Perhaps, Never to Begin With

I just realized how lacking in geekiness I actually am. I thought I had found a niche, a social medium through which I could express myself fluently. For a very long time, I considered myself to be a connoisseur of all things nerdy, but after thinking about it for a while, I realized that I was very, very mistaken. For all of my practice at ( Read more... )

C'mon, those nerds are like the Comic Book Guy. They've had the past 40 years in their mom's basement to get nerdy.

Hey man. I think you're selling yourself short. You have always been King in my book, even when I was right up there with you back in middle school. You can't really change the places that you've come from, you're a product of Middletown, CT, whether you like it or not, just like I am, just like Andrew is, just like Mike is, just like your brother is going to be, etc. You were fucking amazing in Guys and Dolls, and the only reason you didn't get as much credit for it is because Nicole outperformed everybody on that stage. So you're not an athlete. So you're not a computer programming genius. So you're not an anime freak. I'll tell you what you are. You're Peter Fucking DiMauro, one of the very few decent people I've ever met in my life. You don't need to fit into predetermined parameters that form a clique, no matter what their ethos is. You're better than that, and you don't have to have better band stories than anyone else, nor worry about what other people think of you. You're fine being you. Sorry if any of this sounds sappy ( ... )

*big big hugs*

The world crumbles when Peter says he isn't King of The Nerds. Well.. least my world does.

You know that it was because of you in my freshman year (or so) that I strived to be a great marcher and then found out that I loved it? You know that, dont you? Well, now you do. You're an inspiration in yourself, dont cha know, and we love you for it. You're the biggest geek I know ^^' and i say that in the best way possible because it's the truth. It doesn't matter if you cant live up to what everyone wants or expects you to be, just be who you are because your damn fine at that! and you're always going to be my angel of darkness.

always. and nothing can change that. ^_^ I know I named you well..

I remember watching you dance “Baby Got Back” earlier this year; I watched your succulent prehensile limbi of fluxional fluidity cavorting quiveringly through your aetheric aura synchronously with your voracious hips, and my mouth was agape. Peter DiMauro, the sexiest Italian monstrosity ever, stole the cardiac organs and genitalia of every man, woman and cactus within a five-meter radius. In awe, I declared to myself that I would give all my intelligence to be endowed with such a divinely erotic groove ( ... )

Well Peter, remember this. Being a "nerd" is not only just D&D, Anime, and FF7. There's gotta be some sort of knowledge backing to everything. The reason you got shot down in the forum thingy is cause it isn't your first focus. Those guys in there are still living at home and paying rent to their moms. Just because you can't play DDR on anything above beginner doesn't mean jack squat shit. I mean you don't play sports cause you're not as coordinated with eyes to feet and hands, there's a connection there and marching, please there isn't a profession where you get paid to march full time, that'd be rediculous (boy im gonna feel like a dumbass if there really is professional marching). Where you are coordinated is in your studies. Grades don't mean anything, it's what you take away from the classes that count. So what if you realize that you aren't such a gaming freak, you're always gonna be the guy that studies hard, tries in every class that is needed, and come out with a sense of accomplishment because of it. Besides, I don ( ... )
