As much as I enjoyed that cartoon and others of its ilk when I was a youngster, looking back, I realize that I and others of our generation were being exploited in an unconscionable way. I am disgusted by the cartoons I liked as a kid and am ashamed of the fact that my culture sees it fit to indoctrinate children with such psychological poisons.
On another note, this just further goes to show that Hollywood officially ran out of new ideas some years ago.
wow, that's some rant. pray tell, what psychological poisons are you referring to? i seem undamaged by cartoons, and thundercats was one of my favorites.
I can't help but wonder if, in some deep unconscious part of their minds, the kids our age and younger who MAIM AND TORTURE innocent men, women and children at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo think of their helpless victims as minions of Mumm-Ra. Mumm-Ra was inspired by ancient Egypt, and modern Egypt is in the Middle East, and so is Iraq. How many people our age can tell the difference? I'd wager a minority of them.
