it had been a long time since i set anything on fire in the kitchen, so i guess i shouldn't be as surprised as i am that tim and anthony's steaks burst into flames inside the oven the other night. i think i know where i went wrong, and i suspect it had something to do with the elaborate red wine and cream sauce i had soaked them in before putting

it's a learning process. next i'll try flambe, so at least the fire will be intentional.
