CHAPTER 35
-One step-
“I love you Shi, I told that in front of our parents right?” Sho interrupted her sentence by holding her chin up “Wasn’t that enough of a reason for you to believe me?” He asked before bridging the gap between them, kissing the tears that still continuously falling from her eyes, until his lips claimed hers.
WARNING: READER'S DISCRETION IS ADVISED. (skip this part if you don't want to read some scenes.)
The kiss was soft and gentle and was never in hurry. Sho wanted to savor that moment that at last he had cleared his own feelings towards her and told her how much he loves her. He’s not sure if she believed it entirely, but one thing he’s certain of is that he would do anything to make her trust him.
Closing his eyes, he slowly deepened the kiss--playing and biting with her lower lip, sending warmth all throughout his body. He felt Shi responded to his kisses bit by bit, making him all the way excited that he threw away all his anxieties that night as they shared the kiss with equal intensity.
For Shi, shock was an understatement. Her mind was running wild but she was afraid of her own reaction that she tried reasoning out for the nth time that night. “Wait,” she said the moment Sho stopped kissing her to take a breath for a second.
“hmm?” the idol replied with desire still burning in his eyes.
“W-we need to talk first,” she said panting hard because of the kiss.
“What is there to talk about Shi?” Sho tried to kiss her again but Shi moved her head so that his lips landed on her cheek. I can’t believe I want her this badly.. Pulling her closer to his body, he showered little kisses on her face that Shi began blushing deep red on every spot where his lips touched. When Sho saw that, he displayed a playful grin before asking again, “Do we really need to talk first Shi?”
“Y-y-yes.” Tsk. Why am I stuttering just by seeing him smile? Her actions were giving her off but just thinking about the things that happened between them was enough reason for her not to lose her sanity, [i]even if[/i], she had to admit that the guy was very tempting. “I just wanna make sure..-”
“Make sure of what?” Sho raised an eyebrow his face still an inch closer to her making it hard for Shi to concentrate that she was speechless. Seeing that she wasn’t reacting, he had taken that moment to his advantage, held her against the door and began kissing her passionately while pressing his lower body against her.. “Are you sure we still need to talk first?”
Kami-sama... I can’t believe this..Shi closed her eyes feeling his hard member, wanting-its-way- out-of-his slacks, against her body.Okay.. you win this time Sho.. “hmm..I think..that can wait.” She replied seductively making his member throbbed in excitement.
Upon hearing this, Sho crushed his mouth against hers. He snatched the key off Shi’s hand and hastily opened the door, never leaving her lips for even a second. When the door was opened, he guided her inside her apartment with his hand on her back and closed the door in one swift movement.
With lights still off, his hands traveled from her back to her bottom, sending pleasures on her while Shi’s hands wound its ways towards his ruffled hair, running all along until it stayed on his neck. They continued kissing, tasting the sweet sensation that flowed throughout their bodies, kissing with equal passion, making up for the years that had gone while slowly moving towards the stairs, until Shi felt her feet left the floor when Sho scooped her up.
“Hey.. what are you doing?” Shi asked in between takes, her hands clung on his neck.
“Its safer this way..” Sho said and smirked despite the darkness, “and faster..” He began kissing her demandingly while doubling his pace until they reached her bedroom. Sho gently put her down on the bed and took his suit off revealing his toned muscles against the dim light which shone from the lamp post through her windows.
“Oh..” Shi had to suppress her mouth from moaning as she stared at his body. She had seen it more than once, but she can’t help herself if she was still in awe each time she sees that perfect body and his hard member which was clearly visible despite the clothing that was suppressing it.
“Love what you’re seeing babe?” Sho teased as he enjoyed watching her, with mix emotions on her face, before climbing up the bed and pulled her up to a semi-sitting position. Sho moved at the same time he felt her hands doing what it was doing. Lowering his mouth from her lips to her neck, his hands slowly tried to untie the knot of her kimono, while silently cursing the dress and the complexity of how it was made which earned him little giggles from Shi upon seeing the frustration in his eyes.
“Let me do it Sho..” she suppressed a laughter upon seeing him glare for a second replaced with a gentle smile upon meeting her kind smile. She untied her kimono in an expert manner, pulled it down with the help of Sho whose face spelled hunger the moment her bre@$ts was exposed to him, and threw the poor dress on the floor.
Sho began ravishing her mouth again, travelling down her neck, onto the gap between her neck and her shoulder blade, while his hands fondled one of her bre@$ts with his other hand on her nape, sending shivers deep down her spine making her moan in pleasure.

When Shi’s hand began moving, unbuckling his belt and pulled his zipper down rather clumsily for her hands were trembling, he was stopped dead on his tracks. Shi succeeded on what she was doing and touched his member, gave it a slight squeeze which made Sho breathed in excitement.

Sho traced a finger against her lips, quieting her, as she felt him kissed her neck while his hand removed the only garment which was left of her. Taking a deep breath, Sho placed his hand onto her shoulder and once again inverted their position.
Time for getback..Sho couldn’t help but grin just by thinking what he would do next. “Ready for some action love?” He smirked before looking down at her center then up meeting her eyes. It was the only way he could think of. If he wanted their lovemaking to lasts, he had to somehow buy himself some time to calm himself enough so that he won’t spoil everything by coming so sudden.
“No!.. no.. Sho.. y-you won’t.” Shi was panicking. “A-a-re you trying to punish me?” she asked when he began moving downwards while his knees were slowly parting her l3gs. When Sho’s head settled in front of her center, she knew what to expect, but it was just way too much.Ohmigod..he’s not gonna do that right?.
“Relax Shi..” Sho gave him an assuring smile but her sanity gone wild when she felt his tongue played wonders on her center making her gasped at the sudden heat it sent throughout her entire body. When his tongue found her spot, it was exhilarating she could’ve burned. “Sho…ahhh…p-pleasse…” She was trembling while catching her breath. Shi could still taste some traces of herself on his mouth but she didn’t care. Shi’s heart was thumping out of her ribcage and her breathing was beyond its normal pace. “Shi…..”
With one last thrust, Sho’s body collapsed on her, the same time he felt Shi’s body trembled, and held her tightly before spilling all of him inside her, both catching their breaths as they wait for that intense feeling to subside.
“I love you Shi..” Sho said after remaining still atop her for awhile and kissed her eyelid before getting off and lied beside her, slipping his arm under to let her head rest on it.
“Thank you..” Shi began sobbing for she couldn’t help it. There were just so many things that were running on her mind. “I love you too Sho..”
“Shhh..stop crying.. I know you have thousands of questions, and you don’t know how much I wanted to answer them right now, but one thing I’m certain.. is that, I won’t leave you and our kids again..never!”
“But-“ Shi cuddled closer to his chest and rested her head on his arms.
Sho smiled and slowly kissed her tears, making all her anxieties gradually fade away. “No buts Shi..calm your heart for now.. I promise when you wake up, I’m still here.”
“Sho..” Shi didn’t finish her sentence. Bit by bit her eyes were dropping, Sho’s voice was like a melody to her ear-- singing lullaby. Her heart and mind were struggling to keep up with him, but her body was too exhausted, until eventually, she gave in to that feeling of sleepiness.
Sho stared at her sleeping figure and her beautiful face which had that certain amount of tiredness and the satisfaction that was etched along side with it. Sho smiled seeing her resting peacefully beside him and pulled the blanket to cover themselves. He wanted to sleep burning that memory along with her beautiful face in his mind but thoughts about his career just kept on creeping in. Kami-sama..thank you for this night..onegai..help me be the kind of man who would give her happiness..Shi deserved it.
With those thoughts troubling his mind, Sho helped himself in a not-so-good[ yet deep slumber.

“She’s pretty isn’t she?”
“Yeah. I agree. And she’s definitely prettier than her.”
“Too bad.. you poor girl..”
Another voice told her.
STOP! She said but the voices around her just wouldn’t stop.
“You think you’re better than her? Hah! You’re just intelligent! But what can you do compare to a celebrity like her?
STOP! I don’t believe you! He loves me! He loves me!
“Love? You believed it? Awww~ you’re too naïve. Of course he loves you..Oh, I mean, he loves your body.”
That’s not true! That’s not true!
“Oh..of course its true ..love..?” the man laughed at her. Beside him, another figure appeared--a figure of one of the most stunning woman she ever seen. She has an exquisite face, the face of a goddess, kind eyes yet piercing smile, and a laughter which became noise to her ears.
The figure of Sho and the woman started to walk away and it scared her. Especially if the woman he was with was none other than Horikita Maki.
“No! NO! Please Don’t leave me!” Shi was trembling and crying. “You said you love me..then why are you going away with Horikita-san? Why?Why?” she said in hurtful voice while still writhing and moving in bed, her eyes still closed and in tears. “Please…” until a pair of warm hands encircled her and embraced her gently.
“Shhsh… I’m here love..its just a dream Shi.. you’re just dreaming.” Sho tried to hush her and console her. He didn’t know what her dream was but it was very disconcerting that she mentioned the name of one of the actresses he had worked with.
“But..It was very real..” Shi turned around facing him, a great amount of terror building around her beautiful face. “Sho…. who is Horikita-san?”
He touched her face with the back of his hand, smoothing the lines that her face was making before answering with a hesitant smile, “Horikita Maki-san, one of the actresses whom I used to work with.”
“You know that’s not what I mean Sho..” Shi pouted hearing his answer and shoved his hand off her face before getting up and sat on the bed, her back against the headboard. Reality sank in her when accidentally the blanket fell of her, exposing half of her nak3d body. She pulled the blanket on herself, unbothered by the sight of his nakedness, before speaking again. “What is she to you?”
Wait! Is she jealous?Sho smiled at the thought but chose to react with a smile.
“Don’t “smile me” you moron!” Shi was about to hit him when Sho caught her hand.
“Hey! Easy.” With a wide grin on his face, “Why do I sense jealousy in the morning air?”
“What if I am? Baka!” She said and hit him with a pillow when she noticed that he was caught off guard with her direct answer.
“Itte~ Oi! That attitude of yours again!” Sho feigned an upset expression while trying to shield himself with another pillow. “Seriously, you have to let go of that attitude Shi, or I~”
“Or you what?” Shi challenged, still hitting him with the pillow.
“Or I’ll retaliate!” With that said, Sho hit her back with the pillow, and thus began their first ever pillow fight.
“Baka! Baka! Baka!” Shi was shouting while hitting, taking on the offensive side, while Sho had no choice but to defend himself back.
“If I’m stupid, then you’re more stupid!” Sho retorted the same time when Shi didn’t manage to shield herself that Sho’s pillow landed straight to her face.
“Hah!” This idiot. He’s really getting on my nerves! “That hurt you brainless!” and hit him back causing the guy to fall off the bed. “Serves you right!..Ahhhh!”
Sho wasn’t the only one to fall off the bed, because the moment he fell, he caught the blanket that was still wrapped around her body, causing Shi to land exactly on top of him.
“Baka!” Shi slapped his forehead that immediately turned red and laughed heartily.
“I told you, If I’m stupid, then you also are!” Sho pouted then grinned afterwards. He was about to help her get off him when they heard someone screamed.
“OHHHHHH!!!”
Actually, its not from someone, rather, the scream came from two voices, kids voices.
“Oi Shuri! Cover your eyes!” the young boy said and covered his sister’s eyes with both of his hands.
“Why just me? You too Shuji!” Shuri exclaimed and did the same thing with her brother’s eyes.
“Ohmigod. Shuri. Shuji!” Shi shrieked and struggled to cover both her and Sho’s body. She was still on top of Sho, but she had no choice especially when Sho was too shocked he looked like he had just undergone some major attack. “You idiot! I thought you locked the door last night.” She hissed angrily at Sho, lowering her voice so that their kids wouldn’t hear.
Whispering, “Im sorry.. Im too caught up with the moment..you can’t blame me though..” Sho explained matter-of-factly to her.
Shi glared at Sho before turning her attention to the twins whose hands were still covering each other’s eyes to prevent themselves from seeing what wasn’t supposed for their eyes to see.
“Baby..” Shi started.
“Yes?” Sho replied instinctively.
“I’m not talking to you!” She shot him a deadly stare which silenced Sho and called the twins, this time with their names. “Shuji, Shuri..”
“Yes Mama?” The twins answered in chorus.
“Could you please go out for a while.. I.. and Sho,,erm, I mean, Mama and Tousan will just..” but to her frustration, she couldn’t find the right word. [i]How the heck am I supposed to explain to my 4-turning-5-yr old kids that we’ll just cloth ourselves? [/i] Shi glanced at Sho for help, which she was thankful because Sho spoke right away.
“We’ll just put some clothes on.” HE said straightly and with no malice. “You understand right Shuji?Shuri?”
“Ah-h-hai Papa.” Shuri answered immediately.
“Of course Tousan,” Shuji felt he lost his tongue hearing his father spoke in a commanding tone. “And we’ll close the door too.” He answered without being asked.
With that, the twins turn around, walked towards the bedroom door without looking back and closed the door behind them. When the kids were gone, Shi stood hastily, draping the blanket around her body and walked towards her closet, Sho followed suit.
“That was very humiliating,” Shi sighed disbelievingly while rummaging her closet for some decent clothes for her and unluckily, for him too. Because his clothes on the floor were something she didn’t wish for her kids to see, let alone the longsleeves shirt that looked as if it hadn’t been smoothened with an iron. To her surprised, Sho started laughing. “Hey! Don’t laugh.”
“Don’t worry Shi, me too. But I say, that was the most ridiculous thing that had happened to me.” Sho told her while restraining himself to laugh.
“I’m not joking.” Shi turned around only to turn back when she realized that Sho only had his boxers on. Her face went pink remembering his figure and shook her head to snap out of the thought.
“Me either,” Sho said before walking closer to her and embraced her from behind, resting his head on the hollow between her neck and her shoulder blade, his cheek against her cheek. “Seriously, that’s the last thing I want them to see.. but it happened, and we can’t do anything about it.”
“Yeah.. I guess so..” Shi replied and didn’t speak a word after.
They remain in that position for a little longer, it was Sho who chose to break the silence.
“Shi..”
“Hmm?” Shi tried to turn face him, but since his arms were still wrapped around her, she just angled her face.
“About your question..”
“Oh.. no need..Its okay with me..”
“No.. I want you to trust me completely..” Sho said determinedly.
“Um..okay..what about it?” Shi was having second thoughts about it, she was afraid of his answers, but it was better for her to be hurt now than to suffer later.
“We had gone out for a couple of times..with some friends..”
Shi closed her eyes and chose not to interrupt. The pain was searing through her but she neglected it and let him continue.
“You asked what is she to me, honestly, I like her…or rather, I tried to like her..but that was the same time when my mind was flooded with the thoughts of you. After having a glimpse of you in the elevator, I know in my heart that I didn’t, even once..I couldn’t forget you. I love you the first time I saw you. I love you even more when I found out that we have kids and that you raised them pretty well.” Sho used his hand to make her face him. He wiped the tears which escaped from her eyes and look at her in the eye. “Horikita Maki-san is a nice woman, I say, she’s really pretty, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t. Rather than pretty you’re dazzling. So no need to be jealous.” Sho smiled genuinely upon seeing her smile despite being teary-eyed before enclosing her into a tight hug.
Shi rested her head on his chest. She was too happy, she couldn’t explain it. She couldn’t believe that it was worth listening to him and his explanations. It was very mature.
When Sho felt that Shi had eased up, he spoke again. “You know what’s best?”
“What?” Shi asked him curiously, shying away from his hug.
“The best thing is that Sakurai Sho loves you.” Sho said proudly.
“Eh??” She was stunned. She didn’t expect his answer.
“Eh?? What was that?” He was shocked.
“That was too conceited Sho.”
“Huh? But I’m serious. Don’t tell me you don’t consider my love for you as the best thing?” He was seriously hurt.
Seeing his reaction, she said sweetly, “If there’s a word more than “best” itself, that’s how I see it Sho,” and pinched him on the nose. Sho was about to say something but she interrupted. “So much for that, get dressed shall we? I don’t want to prolong that humiliating encounter with the kids.”
“Oh..right.” Sho released her completely and snatched the v-neck unisexual shirt off her hand. “Hmm this will do. You could used the bathroom first,” He told her and walked away to gather his slacks which was still on the floor.
“Okay.” Shi said and sped towards the bathroom to put some clothes on. With her back against the door, closing her eyes, she thought to herself: Actually..you’re love has conquered all my reasons Sho..I don’t know if it’s worth it.. but even if its not..I still am willing to take the risk like what I did five years ago.. Oh God..please help me. before she began wearing a pair of sweatshirt and jeans.

OMG. This is it.. Shi was breathing hard. She was nervous, she found out only now that dealing with kids about “that” matter wasn’t that easy, rather, it was making her too uneasy.
What will I do? This was the first time that this thing happened to me and its pretty bad that it was in front of my kids..Sho’s mind was disturbed too.
They both inhaled and exhaled before descending the stairs with both heads bowed so low. When at last they managed to step the last flight of the stairs, what caught their eyes was something beyond their imagination.
On the floor, was a trail of white rose petals leading to the dining hall. When Sho and Shi followed the trail, it was to be surprised even more. On the dining table were complete set of breakfast, fresh flowers on the vase, and on the chairs sat Shuji and Shuri, holding a cardboard with the letters S-O-R-R-Y written on it. When the kids saw their shocked faces, the two stood, walked, stopped in front of them and did the most surprising thing that morning- even more surprising than going inside her room unannounced.
“We’re really sorry” Shuji and Shuri bowed politely and in a very twin-like manner.
“Sorry for what?” Shi questioned.
“For seeing what we’re not supposed to see.” It was Shuji who first answered.
“It won’t happen if we didn’t come in unannounced,” Shuri reasoned.
“Iie. Its our fault. Your father didn’t lock the room.” Shi explained hesitantly, nudging Sho by the side to follow up her statement.
“You’re mom’s right.. It’s..” He raised an eyebrow at Shi but continue, “my fault that I didn’t lock the room. But that wasn’t the point there.” Sho breathe in some air and stared seriously at his kids. “You see, last night, Shi and I did-“ but he was cut in midsentence by Shuji.
“Oh. Stop it Tousan. We- er- know- somehow..”
“Know what son?” Sho looked at Shuji in the eye but it was Shuri who answered bravely.
“Er- that you did the thing which was also the reason why Shuji and I were born in this world.” Shuri said without pausing and let out a long and relieved sigh after. “and we’re really sorry about it Papa..promise!” Shuri raised her palm up and motioned Shuji to do the same.
“Yeah. We’re really sorry Tousan! Promise!” Shuji copied his sister’s gesture. “so please don’t get mad at us.”
“Mad?” the two adult exchanged glances and chuckled.
“We’re not mad or anything like that.. silly,” Shi played with Shuri’s hair.
“Hontou?” the kids asked with puffy eyes.
“Yeah.. we’re not,” Sho smiled and ruffled his son’s hair. “On the other side, what’s with the roses and the breakfast?”
“Yeah.. I was wondering about that too. Where did those petals and this meal come from?” Shi inquired.
“Ah.. courtesy of Ojiichan.” The two grinned widely at them.
“Ojiichan? Johnny-jiichan?” was Shi’s reaction.
“Or….MASAKA???” was Sho’s reaction.
“You got it right Papa. It was from Sakurai-ojiichan.” Shuri giggled seeing her dad’s pale face.
“He told us to apologize to the both of you for him..” Shuji explained further.
“whoah..” Sho couldn’t believe it. “Wait.. y-you knew?”
“Knew what?” Shi was lost at the moment.
“You” Sho pointed at Shuri, “and you” pointing at Shuji, “Mind to explain yourselves?”
The kids gave them an identical apologetic smile.
“NOW!” Sho raised his voice making the two kids shrugged.
Mustering her cutest look, “Er.. Papa, could we do that while eating? We’re hungry..” Shuri said despite her trembling voice.
“Oh…sorry… okay..” Sho calmed himself and set out to sit on one of the chairs around the table. Shi just followed since she was quite lagging about the situation. The two kids sat opposite them.
“Urm..” Shi cleared her throat to gain Sho’s attention. “Why wear that face Sho?”
“Ask your kids.” He said in a serious tone. He loved his kids but he can’t tolerate them lying.
“Gomen,” Shuri bowed her head.
Shi was about to say something, but Sho had spoken first and besides, she wanted to see how Sho will deal with the situation as their father.
“Don’t apologize if you did nothing wrong Shuri,” Sho told her, putting up a smile to encourage his kids to open up.
“Tousan, I know its wrong to hide it from you, but honestly, we just knew about the plan a while ago when Aunt Mai came and fetched us.”
“Wait..Aunt Mai? when did you start calling Mai that?” Shi asked with a questioned look.
“Shi..”
Sho smiled timidly at her, which she returned with a slightly annoyed look.. Fine. I know. Iknow.Tsk. Clicking her tongue, Shi silenced herself and just listened.
“Like what your mama asked, when?”
“When?” Shuji and Shuri seemed to be thinking hard.
“Hmm, I guess it’s when we first visited your house Tousan,” Shuji confessed.
“When we saw the family portrait hanging on the wall of your livingroom and saw you there Papa, we knew right away that they were your family, and that” Shuri motioned an air “ ” with her fingers “Mai-neechan was actually our aunt, and that Shu-niichan was actually our uncle.”
Oh..that..Sorry kids..about Shu’s accident.. His thoughts wavered but he knew it was something that was out of place if he told them now so Sho said instead, “Oh.. I see. And about the event last night? You mentioned that it was Mai who told you.”
“Ah. Hai. You see, awhile ago in school, Shuri were trying to contact Mama but she wasn’t answering, then I tried your phone, but it was to no avail, so we thought of your sister, and she responded right away.” Shuji grinned innocently and let his sister continue.
“Then, when we told Aunt that we knew, she was so happy and asked us why she was the one that we called, we told her that you two weren’t picking up any calls. When she heard that she smiled mischievously and told us about last night and…” Shuri hesitated for a moment, “Sorry..we couldn’t stop laughing about it..I mean especially the commotion about Ojiichan abducting us,” With that, the two kids burst out in laughter.
“So, you find that funny huh?” Sho asked, again in a serious manner, stopping the kids in their laughter.
When the kids went silent, Shi spoke after listening patiently, and reprimanded Sho. “Hey.. you’re scaring them. Stop now Sho.. or they’ll hate you. Besides, its our fault that we believed our respective parent, so don’t out the blame on them…” Shi said calmly.
“I know Shi.. but..- wait, are you always this calm when dealing with them?” He asked her but Shi remained silent so he turned to the kids.
“Hai. Mama never shouted at us, she was always that calm, and believed me Tousan,” Shuji winked at Sho, “Mama was so calm it tends to be boring at times,” Shuji said half jokingly.
“Oi! You’re conniving again!” Shi pouted seeing the two kids, on Sho’s side, again.
“We’re not!” The three said in chorus.
“See! You’re even lip synching!” She continued to pout but eventually subsided when the three put out a wide and toothed grin. “HEh! Sakurai Sho! You’ve done it again!”
“Oh yes! I’ve done it again. And you also did it again,” Sho chuckled before facing her and drew his face closer to hers.
“Whoah. What?.. wai-“ but she couldn’t get her sentence together because Sho had already claimed her lips. When he released it though, Shi was crimson all over. “Why did you do that?”
“I told you, every time you call me by my last name, I would kiss you,.”
“Oi, Mama, Tousan, stop that will you? There are two minors in front of you!” Shuji faked an annoyed look.
“Oh.. sorry son, I just couldn’t help it..” Sho grinned.
“Demo~ Papa.. if you do that, I’m sure we won’t be able to eat breakfast.” Shuri moped.
When the two adults realized that the kids were really watching them, Shi pushed Sho’s face away from her and sat straight. “So then, lets eat?” Shi smiled at the two kids, ignoring Sho who was making a comic face while copying her.
“Let’s eat!!”

“Ne~ ne~ the preview for our new PV had been released! Uwaa~” Aiba was munching some chips when Sho entered their greenroom.
The atmosphere was unusually quiet despite the fact that the five of them were there, saved with few remarks from Jun, and the munching sound of Aiba.
“Chips in the morning?” Sho smiled at the younger guy before occupying the seat beside him.
“O-o-hayou Sho-chan! Want some?” Aiba’s voice was too loud it gained the attention of everyone in the room.
“Oh Sho’s here?” Ohno was scratching his eyes, apparent that he had just woken up from sleeping in the couch. “How’s your omiai?” He asked still sounding so sleepy.
The guys were obviously shocked at their captain’s question. They didn’t know if he was aware of it or if his mind was still asleep. Aiba and Jun exchange glances while Sho was at lost. Next to Ohno, Nino pause his usual game and observed Sho for any trouble but he found none.
“Yeah.. what happened? You’re unusually very calm unlike last night,” Nino commented.
“Oh.. its good,” Sho acted casually as if it was nothing.
“Elaborate,” Jun said demandingly, closed his magazine and put his full attention at Sho. When the guys saw their youngest member eyeing their rapper attentively, they all set aside whatever things they were doing-- in case of Ohno, he was widely awaken by Nino’s nudge.
When Sho saw that, he had no choice but tell them. It was like one of those times when they were on conference, and their manager was the only one talking, the only difference is that, he was the one talking this time. After 20 minutes of their full concentration, with a constant glaring coming from Jun and Nino for Aiba who would comment every now and then, Sho managed to enlighten them of all that had happened, except the thing in Shi’s apartment.
“Ehhhh? Angel-chan was your omiai partner?” was Aiba’s reaction.
“Sho had just said that!” Jun furrowed his eyebrows but kept himself from hitting their middle child on the head.
“Yes I heard that Jun..” Aiba pouted before turning his attention at Sho and displayed a very wide playful smile, “So..what happened after the omiai Sho-chan?”
“W-what do you mean?” Sho stuttered making the guys wondered about Aiba’s question.
“You see, Jun knew about this too.. Last night, I was trying to reach you, but you’re not answering any calls so I called your house and Shu told me that you’d gone to take your omiai partner home,” Aiba looked at Jun for assistance.
Sighing heavily, “Yeah, as I was told, you’re not home, so this guy,” Jun pointed at Aiba, “Kept on pestering me all night, saying how worried he was.. I just don’t know if it’s the same case with Ridaa and Nino,” He looked at the two guys sitting on the opposite side.
“Oh.. mind you, it was the same,” Nino said sarcastically, “I think that’s also the reason why Oh-chan was so sleepy today..” He looked at their captain.
“Y-yeah. Aiba asked if I have any idea who’s your omiai partner, but I was too sleepy, I hanged up.” Ohno explained.
“So, when he was back in annoying me, I asked if he had called your house again, since it was two hours after, and I damn have the right to sleep plus I was getting pissed, he ended the call without saying goodbye only to call back a few minutes after, informing me that you’re still not home.” Jun recalled making it sound horrible than it was.
Sho was speechless at the moment hearing Jun’s and Aiba’s long speech and when the members of Arashi saw it, they couldn’t help but speculate.
“So.. something happened huh?” Jun chuckled in a very mortifying way, scaring Sho out of his wits.
“Ne~ne~ Sho-chan, what happened? Did you?” Aiba looked at the rapper straight to the eye, but when Sho glanced sideway, the wonder child widened his eyes, so wide it could’ve left its case.
“Oi! Hentai!” Nino snapped. He was getting mad for no reason. “Whatever happened, even if there’s something that did happen, I think Angel would not be glad hearing us talked about those things, she’s a private person Masaki.”
Tsk. Right again.. why do I feel that you know her better than I am? “Kazu’s right, we shouldn’t talk about it.” Sho felt frustrated about having Nino to be the first one to say the things he so wanted to say.
“So. It did happen,” Ohno remarked out of nowhere earning him an elbow from Nino. “Itte- why did you do that Kazu? I was just stating fact.”
Nino was hurting, there was a lump that started to build on his throat that he couldn’t speak. After hearing what Sho has to say, he knew it was the time to give her up, now that there was some major turn of events. But it was too hard.
Sensing Nino’s awkwardness, Jun butt in the conversation, “Oh well, enough about that. So you plan on getting married now?” He asked the thing that Nino couldn’t ask.
“Um, not yet, Shi and I haven’t talk about it.. Otousan said that we should be the one to decide for ourselves..although it was clear that marriage was their purpose for getting us two into an omiai..” Sho explained, “So, in a sense, we’re engaged, but not officially.”
“Oh.. I see.. how about the twins?” Nino let himself out with the hurt feeling he was going through at that moment.
“They’re very cool about it.” Sho told them, “But Shuri and Shuji first wanted to go out with me, so I will be taking them out later after the promotion for our PV.”
“Hey.. isn’t that too reckless?” Ohno asked worriedly.
“I know Ridaa..but I want them to be happy.” Sho sighed. The thoughts of his career started to creep in again.
“Hey, what’s with that sigh Sho?” Jun smiled genuinely this time. “You should be happy right?”
“I am Jun.. I am,” Sho tried to smile but it didn’t reach his eyes. “I was just worried.. like what Nino said, Shi is a very private person so as my kids..as much as possible, I don’t want to involve them with our world.”
“But we couldn’t help it if Shi was working as an engineer for J.E. Add the fact that she was acting with us..” Ohno said.
“So then.. You should take it one at a time ne~” Aiba remarked meaningfully which surprised the guys. “Why? Did I say something bad again?”
The four exchange glances.
Nino’s Thoughts:Tsk..this guy, was he really a slow-brained person?
Jun’s thoughts: Why did his comments were always very timely and thought out well?
Sho’s Thoughts: Thanks for that..it was very helpful.

“Ne~ say something.. “ Aiba pouted, thinking he was wrong again. “I just thought, if Sho-chan would worry about everything, his mind might end up taking in and taking in every problems and not come up with a solution. If he takes things one at a time, he could single out what was important and what was not. By then, he could think of a solution one by one.”
“Very well said.” Jun commented.
“Thanks. That’s what I need.” Sho smiled, his appreciation for Aiba grew even more.
“But seriously, from now on you should be careful Sho..” Nino warned.
“Yeah.. I will. That was the same thing Shi had told me before I left her apartment awhile ago.” Sho said absentmindedly, earning him some “Oh’s” and “Wee’s” from the guys.
“What? Don’t act as if you’re not aware where I stayed last night.” Sho gave them an innocent smile.
“whatever.”

“So How was your day together with Sho?” Shi inquired over the breakfast. “Sorry, I was too tired because I was rushing the presentation for the stadium, that I didn’t feel it when you arrived.”
“Oh, its okay Mama, when we arrived you were sleeping so soundly that Papa had to carry you to your bedroom without waking you up,” Shuri replied.
“Ah, that explained why I ended up in bed.. so how’s yesterday?” Shi asked again.
“Oh,it was good Mama!” Shuji said beamingly.
“Yeah! It was Mama, Papa said you should come with us next time,,” Shuri told her.
“Oh.. I wish I can.. but I’m sure, Sho had told you about our situation right?”
“Right.” The twins replied sadly.
“Oh, don’t be sad..let’s take things one at a time okay? we shouldn’t rush things.” Shi smiled but deep inside she was aching just thinking if that time when they could freely go out together with Sho will really happen.
We’re not sad Mama. We have a mother, we have a father, what more can we ask for?” Shuri smiled again before looking at the clock. “Oh. Mama.. as much as we wanted to talk you about yesterday, we can’t. We will be late for school.”
“Sorry Mama, lets talk when we got home ne~” Shuji stood and kissed her on the cheek. Shuri followed suit.
“Um okay.” Shi was a bit disappointed but she knew how her kids value their education. “Take care. Sorry I couldn’t send you to school.”
“Don’t worry Ma, Aunt Mai volunteered to come meet us by the station and send us to school.” Shuri told her assuredly.
“Oh.. I guess I can rest my mind huh?”
“Yep.” Shuji accidentally knocked her empty teacup which shattered into pieces upon falling on the floor. The boy was about to pick the pieces but Shi prevented him.
“Mama will clean the mess later,” Shi didn’t know but she felt nervous all of a sudden, “Oh, would you mind If I see you out?”
“Eh?” The twins glanced at each other. “No need Mama, the station was just 5-minute walk from here” and started walking towards the door.
“er..okay.” She stood and followed the twins, her heart still beating faster for a reason she didn’t know. “Take care. Shuji, don’t let your sister walked by the road side. ” She said when they were at the door post and bid them goodbye.
“Yes Mama, I’ll make sure of that.” Shuji smiled. “Bye Mama.”
With a last wave, Shuji and Shuri walked away, leaving Shi, still in a worried state.

“I love you Shi, I told that in front of our parents right?” Sho interrupted her sentence by holding her chin up “Wasn’t that enough of a reason for you to believe me?” He asked before bridging the gap between them, kissing the tears that still continuously falling from her eyes, until his lips claimed hers.

The kiss was soft and gentle and was never in hurry. Sho wanted to savor that moment that at last he had cleared his own feelings towards her and told her how much he loves her. He’s not sure if she believed it entirely, but one thing he’s certain of is that he would do anything to make her trust him.
Closing his eyes, he slowly deepened the kiss--playing and biting with her lower lip, sending warmth all throughout his body. He felt Shi responded to his kisses bit by bit, making him all the way excited that he threw away all his anxieties that night as they shared the kiss with equal intensity.
For Shi, shock was an understatement. Her mind was running wild but she was afraid of her own reaction that she tried reasoning out for the nth time that night. “Wait,” she said the moment Sho stopped kissing her to take a breath for a second.
“hmm?” the idol replied with desire still burning in his eyes.
“W-we need to talk first,” she said panting hard because of the kiss.
“What is there to talk about Shi?” Sho tried to kiss her again but Shi moved her head so that his lips landed on her cheek. I can’t believe I want her this badly.. Pulling her closer to his body, he showered little kisses on her face that Shi began blushing deep red on every spot where his lips touched. When Sho saw that, he displayed a playful grin before asking again, “Do we really need to talk first Shi?”
“Y-y-yes.” Tsk. Why am I stuttering just by seeing him smile? Her actions were giving her off but just thinking about the things that happened between them was enough reason for her not to lose her sanity, [i]even if[/i], she had to admit that the guy was very tempting. “I just wanna make sure..-”
“Make sure of what?” Sho raised an eyebrow his face still an inch closer to her making it hard for Shi to concentrate that she was speechless. Seeing that she wasn’t reacting, he had taken that moment to his advantage, held her against the door and began kissing her passionately while pressing his lower body against her.. “Are you sure we still need to talk first?”
Kami-sama... I can’t believe this..Shi closed her eyes feeling his hard member, wanting-its-way- out-of-his slacks, against her body.Okay.. you win this time Sho.. “hmm..I think..that can wait.” She replied seductively making his member throbbed in excitement.

She untied her kimono in an expert manner, pulled it down with the help of Sho whose face spelled hunger the moment her bre@$ts was exposed to him, and threw the poor dress on the floor.

Shi moved along with him, drank in the sensation their lovemaking was giving her until both of them couldn’t take it anymore.
“Shi…..”
With one last thrust, Sho’s body collapsed on her, the same time he felt Shi’s body trembled, and held her tightly before spilling all of him inside her, both catching their breaths as they wait for that intense feeling to subside.
“I love you Shi..” Sho said after remaining still atop her for awhile and kissed her eyelid before getting off and lied beside her, slipping his arm under to let her head rest on it.
“Thank you..” Shi began sobbing for she couldn’t help it. There were just so many things that were running on her mind. “I love you too Sho..”
“Shhh..stop crying.. I know you have thousands of questions, and you don’t know how much I wanted to answer them right now, but one thing I’m certain.. is that, I won’t leave you and our kids again..never!”
“But-“ Shi cuddled closer to his chest and rested her head on his arms.
Sho smiled and slowly kissed her tears, making all her anxieties gradually fade away. “No buts Shi..calm your heart for now.. I promise when you wake up, I’m still here.”
“Sho..” Shi didn’t finish her sentence. Bit by bit her eyes were dropping, Sho’s voice was like a melody to her ear-- singing lullaby. Her heart and mind were struggling to keep up with him, but her body was too exhausted, until eventually, she gave in to that feeling of sleepiness.
Sho stared at her sleeping figure and her beautiful face which had that certain amount of tiredness and the satisfaction that was etched along side with it. Sho smiled seeing her resting peacefully beside him and pulled the blanket to cover themselves. He wanted to sleep burning that memory along with her beautiful face in his mind but thoughts about his career just kept on creeping in. Kami-sama..thank you for this night..onegai..help me be the kind of man who would give her happiness..Shi deserved it.
With those thoughts troubling his mind, Sho helped himself in a not-so-good[ yet deep slumber.

“She’s pretty isn’t she?”
“Yeah. I agree. And she’s definitely prettier than her.”
“Too bad.. you poor girl..”
Another voice told her.
STOP! She said but the voices around her just wouldn’t stop.
“You think you’re better than her? Hah! You’re just intelligent! But what can you do compare to a celebrity like her?
STOP! I don’t believe you! He loves me! He loves me!
“Love? You believed it? Awww~ you’re too naïve. Of course he loves you..Oh, I mean, he loves your body.”
That’s not true! That’s not true!
“Oh..of course its true ..love..?” the man laughed at her. Beside him, another figure appeared--a figure of one of the most stunning woman she ever seen. She has an exquisite face, the face of a goddess, kind eyes yet piercing smile, and a laughter which became noise to her ears.
The figure of Sho and the woman started to walk away and it scared her. Especially if the woman he was with was none other than Horikita Maki.
“No! NO! Please Don’t leave me!” Shi was trembling and crying. “You said you love me..then why are you going away with Horikita-san? Why?Why?” she said in hurtful voice while still writhing and moving in bed, her eyes still closed and in tears. “Please…” until a pair of warm hands encircled her and embraced her gently.
“Shhsh… I’m here love..its just a dream Shi.. you’re just dreaming.” Sho tried to hush her and console her. He didn’t know what her dream was but it was very disconcerting that she mentioned the name of one of the actresses he had worked with.
“But..It was very real..” Shi turned around facing him, a great amount of terror building around her beautiful face. “Sho…. who is Horikita-san?”
He touched her face with the back of his hand, smoothing the lines that her face was making before answering with a hesitant smile, “Horikita Maki-san, one of the actresses whom I used to work with.”
“You know that’s not what I mean Sho..” Shi pouted hearing his answer and shoved his hand off her face before getting up and sat on the bed, her back against the headboard. Reality sank in her when accidentally the blanket fell of her, exposing half of her nak3d body. She pulled the blanket on herself, unbothered by the sight of his nakedness, before speaking again. “What is she to you?”
Wait! Is she jealous?Sho smiled at the thought but chose to react with a smile.
“Don’t “smile me” you moron!” Shi was about to hit him when Sho caught her hand.
“Hey! Easy.” With a wide grin on his face, “Why do I sense jealousy in the morning air?”
“What if I am? Baka!” She said and hit him with a pillow when she noticed that he was caught off guard with her direct answer.
“Itte~ Oi! That attitude of yours again!” Sho feigned an upset expression while trying to shield himself with another pillow. “Seriously, you have to let go of that attitude Shi, or I~”
“Or you what?” Shi challenged, still hitting him with the pillow.
“Or I’ll retaliate!” With that said, Sho hit her back with the pillow, and thus began their first ever pillow fight.
“Baka! Baka! Baka!” Shi was shouting while hitting, taking on the offensive side, while Sho had no choice but to defend himself back.
“If I’m stupid, then you’re more stupid!” Sho retorted the same time when Shi didn’t manage to shield herself that Sho’s pillow landed straight to her face.
“Hah!” This idiot. He’s really getting on my nerves! “That hurt you brainless!” and hit him back causing the guy to fall off the bed. “Serves you right!..Ahhhh!”
Sho wasn’t the only one to fall off the bed, because the moment he fell, he caught the blanket that was still wrapped around her body, causing Shi to land exactly on top of him.
“Baka!” Shi slapped his forehead that immediately turned red and laughed heartily.
“I told you, If I’m stupid, then you also are!” Sho pouted then grinned afterwards. He was about to help her get off him when they heard someone screamed.
“OHHHHHH!!!”
Actually, its not from someone, rather, the scream came from two voices, kids voices.
“Oi Shuri! Cover your eyes!” the young boy said and covered his sister’s eyes with both of his hands.
“Why just me? You too Shuji!” Shuri exclaimed and did the same thing with her brother’s eyes.
“Ohmigod. Shuri. Shuji!” Shi shrieked and struggled to cover both her and Sho’s body. She was still on top of Sho, but she had no choice especially when Sho was too shocked he looked like he had just undergone some major attack. “You idiot! I thought you locked the door last night.” She hissed angrily at Sho, lowering her voice so that their kids wouldn’t hear.
Whispering, “Im sorry.. Im too caught up with the moment..you can’t blame me though..” Sho explained matter-of-factly to her.
Shi glared at Sho before turning her attention to the twins whose hands were still covering each other’s eyes to prevent themselves from seeing what wasn’t supposed for their eyes to see.
“Baby..” Shi started.
“Yes?” Sho replied instinctively.
“I’m not talking to you!” She shot him a deadly stare which silenced Sho and called the twins, this time with their names. “Shuji, Shuri..”
“Yes Mama?” The twins answered in chorus.
“Could you please go out for a while.. I.. and Sho,,erm, I mean, Mama and Tousan will just..” but to her frustration, she couldn’t find the right word. [i]How the heck am I supposed to explain to my 4-turning-5-yr old kids that we’ll just cloth ourselves? [/i] Shi glanced at Sho for help, which she was thankful because Sho spoke right away.
“We’ll just put some clothes on.” HE said straightly and with no malice. “You understand right Shuji?Shuri?”
“Ah-h-hai Papa.” Shuri answered immediately.
“Of course Tousan,” Shuji felt he lost his tongue hearing his father spoke in a commanding tone. “And we’ll close the door too.” He answered without being asked.
With that, the twins turn around, walked towards the bedroom door without looking back and closed the door behind them. When the kids were gone, Shi stood hastily, draping the blanket around her body and walked towards her closet, Sho followed suit.
“That was very humiliating,” Shi sighed disbelievingly while rummaging her closet for some decent clothes for her and unluckily, for him too. Because his clothes on the floor were something she didn’t wish for her kids to see, let alone the longsleeves shirt that looked as if it hadn’t been smoothened with an iron. To her surprised, Sho started laughing. “Hey! Don’t laugh.”
“Don’t worry Shi, me too. But I say, that was the most ridiculous thing that had happened to me.” Sho told her while restraining himself to laugh.
“I’m not joking.” Shi turned around only to turn back when she realized that Sho only had his boxers on. Her face went pink remembering his figure and shook her head to snap out of the thought.
“Me either,” Sho said before walking closer to her and embraced her from behind, resting his head on the hollow between her neck and her shoulder blade, his cheek against her cheek. “Seriously, that’s the last thing I want them to see.. but it happened, and we can’t do anything about it.”
“Yeah.. I guess so..” Shi replied and didn’t speak a word after.
They remain in that position for a little longer, it was Sho who chose to break the silence.
“Shi..”
“Hmm?” Shi tried to turn face him, but since his arms were still wrapped around her, she just angled her face.
“About your question..”
“Oh.. no need..Its okay with me..”
“No.. I want you to trust me completely..” Sho said determinedly.
“Um..okay..what about it?” Shi was having second thoughts about it, she was afraid of his answers, but it was better for her to be hurt now than to suffer later.
“We had gone out for a couple of times..with some friends..”
Shi closed her eyes and chose not to interrupt. The pain was searing through her but she neglected it and let him continue.
“You asked what is she to me, honestly, I like her…or rather, I tried to like her..but that was the same time when my mind was flooded with the thoughts of you. After having a glimpse of you in the elevator, I know in my heart that I didn’t, even once..I couldn’t forget you. I love you the first time I saw you. I love you even more when I found out that we have kids and that you raised them pretty well.” Sho used his hand to make her face him. He wiped the tears which escaped from her eyes and look at her in the eye. “Horikita Maki-san is a nice woman, I say, she’s really pretty, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t. Rather than pretty you’re dazzling. So no need to be jealous.” Sho smiled genuinely upon seeing her smile despite being teary-eyed before enclosing her into a tight hug.
Shi rested her head on his chest. She was too happy, she couldn’t explain it. She couldn’t believe that it was worth listening to him and his explanations. It was very mature.
When Sho felt that Shi had eased up, he spoke again. “You know what’s best?”
“What?” Shi asked him curiously, shying away from his hug.
“The best thing is that Sakurai Sho loves you.” Sho said proudly.
“Eh??” She was stunned. She didn’t expect his answer.
“Eh?? What was that?” He was shocked.
“That was too conceited Sho.”
“Huh? But I’m serious. Don’t tell me you don’t consider my love for you as the best thing?” He was seriously hurt.
Seeing his reaction, she said sweetly, “If there’s a word more than “best” itself, that’s how I see it Sho,” and pinched him on the nose. Sho was about to say something but she interrupted. “So much for that, get dressed shall we? I don’t want to prolong that humiliating encounter with the kids.”
“Oh..right.” Sho released her completely and snatched the v-neck unisexual shirt off her hand. “Hmm this will do. You could used the bathroom first,” He told her and walked away to gather his slacks which was still on the floor.
“Okay.” Shi said and sped towards the bathroom to put some clothes on. With her back against the door, closing her eyes, she thought to herself: Actually..you’re love has conquered all my reasons Sho..I don’t know if it’s worth it.. but even if its not..I still am willing to take the risk like what I did five years ago.. Oh God..please help me. before she began wearing a pair of sweatshirt and jeans.

OMG. This is it.. Shi was breathing hard. She was nervous, she found out only now that dealing with kids about “that” matter wasn’t that easy, rather, it was making her too uneasy.
What will I do? This was the first time that this thing happened to me and its pretty bad that it was in front of my kids..Sho’s mind was disturbed too.
They both inhaled and exhaled before descending the stairs with both heads bowed so low. When at last they managed to step the last flight of the stairs, what caught their eyes was something beyond their imagination.
On the floor, was a trail of white rose petals leading to the dining hall. When Sho and Shi followed the trail, it was to be surprised even more. On the dining table were complete set of breakfast, fresh flowers on the vase, and on the chairs sat Shuji and Shuri, holding a cardboard with the letters S-O-R-R-Y written on it. When the kids saw their shocked faces, the two stood, walked, stopped in front of them and did the most surprising thing that morning- even more surprising than going inside her room unannounced.
“We’re really sorry” Shuji and Shuri bowed politely and in a very twin-like manner.
“Sorry for what?” Shi questioned.
“For seeing what we’re not supposed to see.” It was Shuji who first answered.
“It won’t happen if we didn’t come in unannounced,” Shuri reasoned.
“Iie. Its our fault. Your father didn’t lock the room.” Shi explained hesitantly, nudging Sho by the side to follow up her statement.
“You’re mom’s right.. It’s..” He raised an eyebrow at Shi but continue, “my fault that I didn’t lock the room. But that wasn’t the point there.” Sho breathe in some air and stared seriously at his kids. “You see, last night, Shi and I did-“ but he was cut in midsentence by Shuji.
“Oh. Stop it Tousan. We- er- know- somehow..”
“Know what son?” Sho looked at Shuji in the eye but it was Shuri who answered bravely.
“Er- that you did the thing which was also the reason why Shuji and I were born in this world.” Shuri said without pausing and let out a long and relieved sigh after. “and we’re really sorry about it Papa..promise!” Shuri raised her palm up and motioned Shuji to do the same.
“Yeah. We’re really sorry Tousan! Promise!” Shuji copied his sister’s gesture. “so please don’t get mad at us.”
“Mad?” the two adult exchanged glances and chuckled.
“We’re not mad or anything like that.. silly,” Shi played with Shuri’s hair.
“Hontou?” the kids asked with puffy eyes.
“Yeah.. we’re not,” Sho smiled and ruffled his son’s hair. “On the other side, what’s with the roses and the breakfast?”
“Yeah.. I was wondering about that too. Where did those petals and this meal come from?” Shi inquired.
“Ah.. courtesy of Ojiichan.” The two grinned widely at them.
“Ojiichan? Johnny-jiichan?” was Shi’s reaction.
“Or….MASAKA???” was Sho’s reaction.
“You got it right Papa. It was from Sakurai-ojiichan.” Shuri giggled seeing her dad’s pale face.
“He told us to apologize to the both of you for him..” Shuji explained further.
“whoah..” Sho couldn’t believe it. “Wait.. y-you knew?”
“Knew what?” Shi was lost at the moment.
“You” Sho pointed at Shuri, “and you” pointing at Shuji, “Mind to explain yourselves?”
The kids gave them an identical apologetic smile.
“NOW!” Sho raised his voice making the two kids shrugged.
Mustering her cutest look, “Er.. Papa, could we do that while eating? We’re hungry..” Shuri said despite her trembling voice.
“Oh…sorry… okay..” Sho calmed himself and set out to sit on one of the chairs around the table. Shi just followed since she was quite lagging about the situation. The two kids sat opposite them.
“Urm..” Shi cleared her throat to gain Sho’s attention. “Why wear that face Sho?”
“Ask your kids.” He said in a serious tone. He loved his kids but he can’t tolerate them lying.
“Gomen,” Shuri bowed her head.
Shi was about to say something, but Sho had spoken first and besides, she wanted to see how Sho will deal with the situation as their father.
“Don’t apologize if you did nothing wrong Shuri,” Sho told her, putting up a smile to encourage his kids to open up.
“Tousan, I know its wrong to hide it from you, but honestly, we just knew about the plan a while ago when Aunt Mai came and fetched us.”
“Wait..Aunt Mai? when did you start calling Mai that?” Shi asked with a questioned look.
“Shi..”
Sho smiled timidly at her, which she returned with a slightly annoyed look.. Fine. I know. Iknow.Tsk. Clicking her tongue, Shi silenced herself and just listened.
“Like what your mama asked, when?”
“When?” Shuji and Shuri seemed to be thinking hard.
“Hmm, I guess it’s when we first visited your house Tousan,” Shuji confessed.
“When we saw the family portrait hanging on the wall of your livingroom and saw you there Papa, we knew right away that they were your family, and that” Shuri motioned an air “ ” with her fingers “Mai-neechan was actually our aunt, and that Shu-niichan was actually our uncle.”
Oh..that..Sorry kids..about Shu’s accident.. His thoughts wavered but he knew it was something that was out of place if he told them now so Sho said instead, “Oh.. I see. And about the event last night? You mentioned that it was Mai who told you.”
“Ah. Hai. You see, awhile ago in school, Shuri were trying to contact Mama but she wasn’t answering, then I tried your phone, but it was to no avail, so we thought of your sister, and she responded right away.” Shuji grinned innocently and let his sister continue.
“Then, when we told Aunt that we knew, she was so happy and asked us why she was the one that we called, we told her that you two weren’t picking up any calls. When she heard that she smiled mischievously and told us about last night and…” Shuri hesitated for a moment, “Sorry..we couldn’t stop laughing about it..I mean especially the commotion about Ojiichan abducting us,” With that, the two kids burst out in laughter.
“So, you find that funny huh?” Sho asked, again in a serious manner, stopping the kids in their laughter.
When the kids went silent, Shi spoke after listening patiently, and reprimanded Sho. “Hey.. you’re scaring them. Stop now Sho.. or they’ll hate you. Besides, its our fault that we believed our respective parent, so don’t out the blame on them…” Shi said calmly.
“I know Shi.. but..- wait, are you always this calm when dealing with them?” He asked her but Shi remained silent so he turned to the kids.
“Hai. Mama never shouted at us, she was always that calm, and believed me Tousan,” Shuji winked at Sho, “Mama was so calm it tends to be boring at times,” Shuji said half jokingly.
“Oi! You’re conniving again!” Shi pouted seeing the two kids, on Sho’s side, again.
“We’re not!” The three said in chorus.
“See! You’re even lip synching!” She continued to pout but eventually subsided when the three put out a wide and toothed grin. “HEh! Sakurai Sho! You’ve done it again!”
“Oh yes! I’ve done it again. And you also did it again,” Sho chuckled before facing her and drew his face closer to hers.
“Whoah. What?.. wai-“ but she couldn’t get her sentence together because Sho had already claimed her lips. When he released it though, Shi was crimson all over. “Why did you do that?”
“I told you, every time you call me by my last name, I would kiss you,.”
“Oi, Mama, Tousan, stop that will you? There are two minors in front of you!” Shuji faked an annoyed look.
“Oh.. sorry son, I just couldn’t help it..” Sho grinned.
“Demo~ Papa.. if you do that, I’m sure we won’t be able to eat breakfast.” Shuri moped.
When the two adults realized that the kids were really watching them, Shi pushed Sho’s face away from her and sat straight. “So then, lets eat?” Shi smiled at the two kids, ignoring Sho who was making a comic face while copying her.
“Let’s eat!!”

“Ne~ ne~ the preview for our new PV had been released! Uwaa~” Aiba was munching some chips when Sho entered their greenroom.
The atmosphere was unusually quiet despite the fact that the five of them were there, saved with few remarks from Jun, and the munching sound of Aiba.
“Chips in the morning?” Sho smiled at the younger guy before occupying the seat beside him.
“O-o-hayou Sho-chan! Want some?” Aiba’s voice was too loud it gained the attention of everyone in the room.
“Oh Sho’s here?” Ohno was scratching his eyes, apparent that he had just woken up from sleeping in the couch. “How’s your omiai?” He asked still sounding so sleepy.
The guys were obviously shocked at their captain’s question. They didn’t know if he was aware of it or if his mind was still asleep. Aiba and Jun exchange glances while Sho was at lost. Next to Ohno, Nino pause his usual game and observed Sho for any trouble but he found none.
“Yeah.. what happened? You’re unusually very calm unlike last night,” Nino commented.
“Oh.. its good,” Sho acted casually as if it was nothing.
“Elaborate,” Jun said demandingly, closed his magazine and put his full attention at Sho. When the guys saw their youngest member eyeing their rapper attentively, they all set aside whatever things they were doing-- in case of Ohno, he was widely awaken by Nino’s nudge.
When Sho saw that, he had no choice but tell them. It was like one of those times when they were on conference, and their manager was the only one talking, the only difference is that, he was the one talking this time. After 20 minutes of their full concentration, with a constant glaring coming from Jun and Nino for Aiba who would comment every now and then, Sho managed to enlighten them of all that had happened, except the thing in Shi’s apartment.
“Ehhhh? Angel-chan was your omiai partner?” was Aiba’s reaction.
“Sho had just said that!” Jun furrowed his eyebrows but kept himself from hitting their middle child on the head.
“Yes I heard that Jun..” Aiba pouted before turning his attention at Sho and displayed a very wide playful smile, “So..what happened after the omiai Sho-chan?”
“W-what do you mean?” Sho stuttered making the guys wondered about Aiba’s question.
“You see, Jun knew about this too.. Last night, I was trying to reach you, but you’re not answering any calls so I called your house and Shu told me that you’d gone to take your omiai partner home,” Aiba looked at Jun for assistance.
Sighing heavily, “Yeah, as I was told, you’re not home, so this guy,” Jun pointed at Aiba, “Kept on pestering me all night, saying how worried he was.. I just don’t know if it’s the same case with Ridaa and Nino,” He looked at the two guys sitting on the opposite side.
“Oh.. mind you, it was the same,” Nino said sarcastically, “I think that’s also the reason why Oh-chan was so sleepy today..” He looked at their captain.
“Y-yeah. Aiba asked if I have any idea who’s your omiai partner, but I was too sleepy, I hanged up.” Ohno explained.
“So, when he was back in annoying me, I asked if he had called your house again, since it was two hours after, and I damn have the right to sleep plus I was getting pissed, he ended the call without saying goodbye only to call back a few minutes after, informing me that you’re still not home.” Jun recalled making it sound horrible than it was.
Sho was speechless at the moment hearing Jun’s and Aiba’s long speech and when the members of Arashi saw it, they couldn’t help but speculate.
“So.. something happened huh?” Jun chuckled in a very mortifying way, scaring Sho out of his wits.
“Ne~ne~ Sho-chan, what happened? Did you?” Aiba looked at the rapper straight to the eye, but when Sho glanced sideway, the wonder child widened his eyes, so wide it could’ve left its case.
“Oi! Hentai!” Nino snapped. He was getting mad for no reason. “Whatever happened, even if there’s something that did happen, I think Angel would not be glad hearing us talked about those things, she’s a private person Masaki.”
Tsk. Right again.. why do I feel that you know her better than I am? “Kazu’s right, we shouldn’t talk about it.” Sho felt frustrated about having Nino to be the first one to say the things he so wanted to say.
“So. It did happen,” Ohno remarked out of nowhere earning him an elbow from Nino. “Itte- why did you do that Kazu? I was just stating fact.”
Nino was hurting, there was a lump that started to build on his throat that he couldn’t speak. After hearing what Sho has to say, he knew it was the time to give her up, now that there was some major turn of events. But it was too hard.
Sensing Nino’s awkwardness, Jun butt in the conversation, “Oh well, enough about that. So you plan on getting married now?” He asked the thing that Nino couldn’t ask.
“Um, not yet, Shi and I haven’t talk about it.. Otousan said that we should be the one to decide for ourselves..although it was clear that marriage was their purpose for getting us two into an omiai..” Sho explained, “So, in a sense, we’re engaged, but not officially.”
“Oh.. I see.. how about the twins?” Nino let himself out with the hurt feeling he was going through at that moment.
“They’re very cool about it.” Sho told them, “But Shuri and Shuji first wanted to go out with me, so I will be taking them out later after the promotion for our PV.”
“Hey.. isn’t that too reckless?” Ohno asked worriedly.
“I know Ridaa..but I want them to be happy.” Sho sighed. The thoughts of his career started to creep in again.
“Hey, what’s with that sigh Sho?” Jun smiled genuinely this time. “You should be happy right?”
“I am Jun.. I am,” Sho tried to smile but it didn’t reach his eyes. “I was just worried.. like what Nino said, Shi is a very private person so as my kids..as much as possible, I don’t want to involve them with our world.”
“But we couldn’t help it if Shi was working as an engineer for J.E. Add the fact that she was acting with us..” Ohno said.
“So then.. You should take it one at a time ne~” Aiba remarked meaningfully which surprised the guys. “Why? Did I say something bad again?”
The four exchange glances.
Nino’s Thoughts:Tsk..this guy, was he really a slow-brained person?
Jun’s thoughts: Why did his comments were always very timely and thought out well?
Sho’s Thoughts: Thanks for that..it was very helpful.
Ohno’s Thoughts: ……………
“Ne~ say something.. “ Aiba pouted, thinking he was wrong again. “I just thought, if Sho-chan would worry about everything, his mind might end up taking in and taking in every problems and not come up with a solution. If he takes things one at a time, he could single out what was important and what was not. By then, he could think of a solution one by one.”
“Very well said.” Jun commented.
“Thanks. That’s what I need.” Sho smiled, his appreciation for Aiba grew even more.
“But seriously, from now on you should be careful Sho..” Nino warned.
“Yeah.. I will. That was the same thing Shi had told me before I left her apartment awhile ago.” Sho said absentmindedly, earning him some “Oh’s” and “Wee’s” from the guys.
“What? Don’t act as if you’re not aware where I stayed last night.” Sho gave them an innocent smile.
“whatever.”

“So How was your day together with Sho?” Shi inquired over the breakfast. “Sorry, I was too tired because I was rushing the presentation for the stadium, that I didn’t feel it when you arrived.”
“Oh, its okay Mama, when we arrived you were sleeping so soundly that Papa had to carry you to your bedroom without waking you up,” Shuri replied.
“Ah, that explained why I ended up in bed.. so how’s yesterday?” Shi asked again.
“Oh,it was good Mama!” Shuji said beamingly.
“Yeah! It was Mama, Papa said you should come with us next time,,” Shuri told her.
“Oh.. I wish I can.. but I’m sure, Sho had told you about our situation right?”
“Right.” The twins replied sadly.
“Oh, don’t be sad..let’s take things one at a time okay? we shouldn’t rush things.” Shi smiled but deep inside she was aching just thinking if that time when they could freely go out together with Sho will really happen.
We’re not sad Mama. We have a mother, we have a father, what more can we ask for?” Shuri smiled again before looking at the clock. “Oh. Mama.. as much as we wanted to talk you about yesterday, we can’t. We will be late for school.”
“Sorry Mama, lets talk when we got home ne~” Shuji stood and kissed her on the cheek. Shuri followed suit.
“Um okay.” Shi was a bit disappointed but she knew how her kids value their education. “Take care. Sorry I couldn’t send you to school.”
“Don’t worry Ma, Aunt Mai volunteered to come meet us by the station and send us to school.” Shuri told her assuredly.
“Oh.. I guess I can rest my mind huh?”
“Yep.” Shuji accidentally knocked her empty teacup which shattered into pieces upon falling on the floor. The boy was about to pick the pieces but Shi prevented him.
“Mama will clean the mess later,” Shi didn’t know but she felt nervous all of a sudden, “Oh, would you mind If I see you out?”
“Eh?” The twins glanced at each other. “No need Mama, the station was just 5-minute walk from here” and started walking towards the door.
“er..okay.” She stood and followed the twins, her heart still beating faster for a reason she didn’t know. “Take care. Shuji, don’t let your sister walked by the road side. ” She said when they were at the door post and bid them goodbye.
“Yes Mama, I’ll make sure of that.” Shuji smiled. “Bye Mama.”
With a last wave, Shuji and Shuri walked away, leaving Shi, still in a worried state.
