:/ God that sucks. My mom's boyfriend works with computers, and I'm sure he could work on it for free. But it may not be worth it to send out here. My hard-drive crashed and I lost everything until my dad's coworker put in a new one and did some hocuspocus. :/ I really hope it works out for you that way too.

just so you know, data recovery's one of the main things I do at my job too. so, if you wanted, you could even just bring it by the store and I could give you a very quick assessment of whether or not the "clean room" was really necessary. a lot of times it isn't.
