I think no matter the cause, no matter the facts, people are still going to argue regardless of whether it's right or wrong. It's what we do. I mean one could misconstrue this as you bitching about people bitching.

Americans love to bitch, end of story.

No I'm not attacking you, I just think it's a near fleeting argument since it will more than likely cause more problems than it'll solve.

I believe I have been judiciously paying the taxes to fund that "$350million." The first amendment is a beautiful and fragile thing.

To be fair, a lot of the criticism came at the heels of the initial US offerings of 17 and 35 million. (The initial offering only being half the cost of the president's upcoming inauguration celebrations). I think a lot of the criticism went away after the US increased its donations by ten-fold. (Now only Japan is giving more) Whether or not that was the plan all along, or if the increase in aid was a result of public opinion, is something we'll never really know

Yeah, I agree about the Iraqi people. I just chose not to bring that issue up here because I knew that someone would have a different opinion about it
