I not dead!! Pacific Media Expo 2010
Omg yeah haven't posted since July. O_o But yeah, this past weekend was my first time at Pacific Media Expo (PMX) and it was pretty fun!! Despite the fact that I was sick and coughing my lungs out the whole time. -_-; Alsoooo, I forgot my camera every day of the con except the last and then I wasn't in the mood to take any pictures. ><
FRIDAY
Finally a semi-decent pic of Momohime! Picture taken from ACP.
- I got up early to run to Tous les Jours on Olympic to pick up a cake for my senior art show opening later that night... yummy Korean cake~ Came back and tried to simultaneously work on Wedding Peach while putting on Momohime. Realized armor was cracked and waraji were likely in Walnut so had to quickly improvise with hot glue and replacement sandals.
- Went into Bevmo! dressed as Momohime to buy wine also for senior art show opening
- Arrived at PMX with Joe (idprism) later than we expected but still too early to do anything lol
- Pocky tasting consisted of chocolate and strawberry and child-size Ramune... not terrible for $2
- Watched (Filipino) food challenge with Joe, sklathill, and yoshikochan... sad Joe didn't get picked to participate :(
- Went to my senior art show opening in Momohime mostly because I didn't have time to change; I think maybe 2/18 people in my class had known prior that I cosplayed haha; Opening was pretty fun and I'm very grateful to sklathill, wabisuke, and vespabee for ditching PMX to show up &hearts
SATURDAY
- Arrived at con in Neiro from Kaiba with vespabee as Popo, wabisuke as Sate, and yoshikochan as Chroniko; Hopefully someone has pics ><... I think at least 2-3 people knew who we were, which is about the same amount as at big cons so it was pretty cool :D
- Went to Hiromi Kato (MADHOUSE animator) panel. It was kinda dead because Kato was super serious lol and the host/interviewer was kind of dumb. However, it was pretty cute that he liked Noelle (Tenshi ni Narumon) the best out of the characters he'd designed; made me wish that I had a Noelle cosplay to wear to his panel... :< Afterwards, there was a raffle to get some sketches by him and by some crazy stroke of luck, I WON. :DDD
SILKYYYY &hearts &hearts &hearts
- Also dropped by Amy Okuda panel since I did kinda like the Guild. Panel was all right... Amy's a pretty normal person ahha, although I found that we both liked old people. :D
- Then Joe, yoshikochan and I went to check out the Kamen Rider/Super Sentai panel which turned out kind of lame because they didn't have a structure to their presentation. -_-
- Then we gathered in our big group with a few guests and went to Le Grande Cafe to have dinner. It was deliciousssss~
- Afterwards, we went back to con center, I changed into yukata for the Starlight Fashion Festival and then by a stroke of terrible luck, I fell and scraped my knee rather hard... right in front of a "Watch for Step" sign. -_-;;; Up 'til that point, I had still planned on finishing Wedding Peach to wear with _shiya_wind but had to drop out mainly because my knee was bloody. :( So sorry Shiya... it will definitely be done for ALA!
Angel Love is almost ready!!
- Starlight Fashion Festival was pretty fun though and Joe won me a cute deer necklace~
Most of the good prizes had already been won though, so we left and I went to hang out with roxyryoko at the Swap Meet, where I was able to make $70 selling some wigs and clothes :D The Swap Meet was kind of crappy though... not a lot of people were there and it was confusing because a lot of the Artist Alley stuff was still up and out. :/
SUNDAY
- Sunday ended up being relaxing because I had to cancel Wedding Peach... I wore a leopard fur cape that I had made for Halloween. A lot of people were asking me where I had bought it. xD

- Joe and I saw the fashion show and then hung around a bit in karaoke room with others before heading back to my senior art show because we were having a critique and we had to de-install. The critique was kind of interesting and I got decent feedback... but once again I distorted my classmates' views of me by showing up in a blonde wig and leopard fur cape haha. xD
- After that I gathered the group of USC Anime Club regulars and we all (Lauren even drove out from Irvine~~)went for Umami burger in Space 1520... which was also apparently having a very very loud art show opening. Food was great as usual at Umami~
STUFF
Joe got me a butterfly clip to wear. He was wearing a red one but I have no pics. :(

Also, I bought a gothic lolita dress from h.Naoto. Broke the bank... T_T Joe helped me by getting me the matching top~ &hearts
I had always wanted to get into it and now I have one dress to start with!! It's soo pretty and well-made. ><
Also got volumes 1-5 of Matantei Loki Ragnarok manga, my guilty pleasure lol.
THOUGHTS
I'd probably go to PMX again, especially if I can get together a decent Lolita outfit... it seems super fun to play with accessories and stuff~ I'll try not to be sick again this time of the year... coughing all the time made me less inclined to do shoots with any photographers. :/ And also, need to not forget to bring my camera. >.>;;
Ok now time to do work lol.
