So, Jesse's friend came over to play chess today along with his dog. The dog gets along great with our dogs, but Jesse forgot to put the cats away. It scared (by chasing and growling) poor Sienna, who climbed up the window via the caulking (so I'm told, and I saw the claw marks). As she hung at the top by one paw with nowhere to go Jesse grabbed ( Read more... )

Our thoughts are with you. Kudos to you for not letting the first place convince you it wasn't major.

Jesus. Send him my best. Call me when you can. I was good of him to save the cat, but wow, those bites sound awful. Did he need a tetanus shot, or was this unrelated?

On an unrelated note, if that's okay, I can only fly into Milwaukee, apparently, on that ticket, so how far is that?

Yeah - he was fine on his tetanus status. Nothing to do with that. Just normal cat mouth bacteria (second only to the human mouth - awesome!)

Milwaukee is about 80 miles away/ hour and a half drive down the Lake front. We could come get you via car (or maybe plane depending on other factors like weather.)

Awesome. I just didn't want to assume you'd be cool with it. How the fuck, by the way, does Midwest Express not fly into Chicago??

Nooooo! Those are AWFUL wounds. I hope Jesse feels better soon and the infection doesn't get any worse. And, of course, that you get some quality sleep.

My cat got into a fight this past summer and was bitten by the other cat. They treated him just like Jesse. Drained it. Antibiotics. It was expensive but he turned out alright. I hope you don't mind me comparing your husband to my cat since you are a partisan of the "cats are people too" camp.
