It is NEGATIVE 28 degrees F outside right now with wind chill. -28!!!

Jesse was discharged Thursday around noon - after two days of dripping antibiotics into his veins, he avoided surgery (the though that without treatment he could have lost the use of his whole hand, permanently, is completely unfathomable). So, Jesse's friend came over to play chess today along with his dog. The dog gets along great with our dogs, but Jesse forgot to put the cats away. It scared (by chasing and growling) poor Sienna, who climbed up the window via the caulking (so I'm told, and I saw the claw marks). Today decided to put on some Winter. So, Jesse and I decided to visit the sled hill we'd been eye-ing every since we saw it on our way to the Home Depot.

Today went well...besides tripping while handing out the syllabus...damn carpet. I'm taking Prof. S.'s undergrad course on early American women.
