They first met during an event in which the castle stuck them together, and even after those three days of hell, they managed to stay friends, if not very close ones. During yet another event where everyone had to obey orders, she told him to confess his feelings to Maka, which both exasperated him an incredible amount and made him feel like he owes her something. Otherwise, he never would have told the girl, and while Maka knowing is humiliating, it's better than letting things stay bottled up. Also, she helped him find his turtle during a flood. Props.

He is kind of shocked that Dumbledor would ever choose someone like this guy to be a professor. Not only does he yell and swear a lot, he's kind of violent. Like, he threatened to beat him once. Really? What kind of teacher would threaten to beat their own student? He is also apparently planning to put Tsuna through what he refers to as spartan training. That is a pretty big do not want. He doesn't really understand why Gilbert cares about him so much, and normally he would just let it go, but being threatened with spartan training isn't really something he can ignore.

Gilbert's brother, although Tsuna doean't know this. He is every bit as scary as his brother, but in a very different way. While Gilbert is scary because he yells really loud, Ludwig is scary because he also yells loud and also emanates 'you are a failure' vibes. The two times he's actually talked to Ludwig are times when he's being chastised for doing something wrong that he... Didn't even realize was wrong. The fact that he's tall and muscular and a prefect just kind of adds to the effect.

A valuable member of the People Who Make Tsuna's Life Hard group. He might not yell like the Beilschmidt's, but he's still terrifying as hell, and it's not hard to set him off. All he said was not to be too hard on people who fell asleep in the library, and bam. Instant hatred. Which kind of baffles Tsuna, because while he can understand people being exasperated with his fail, it usually doesn't happen that quickly or over something that minor. Also, he's pretty rude to everybody else, too, which is not cool.

First and foremost.
HE KNOWS WHAT SHE LOOKS LIKE NAKED. This is a serious block to having good conversation with her ever again. Even aside from never being to look at her without thinking about her chest, she is kind of a terrifying person! She seems kind of. Violent. And that's an understatement, so, uh. But she's also brave and determined and she seems like she mostly only gets angry when people she cares about could be in danger, so she gets points for that. But still. Never talking to ever.
