I'm going to way out on a limb here and assume that when your own characters amuse the living fuck out of you, something is seriously wrong.

Maybe it's because I've given up on being serious. Maybe it's because I've finally taken a headfirst plunge into the deep end. But, whatever. I'm having fun.

I agree. You just love the character. For my play, I had a dumb and drunk character. It was amusing.
