This is Bastard Squirrel

This is Bastard Squirrel -- a snap quickly taken as he, from his  favorite new daily perch on my windowsill, attempted to open my dining-room screen with his paw. Note Kitty-nose prints on glass pane (must clean window!) tracking said Bastard Squirrel, but without success.

This is his new haunt. He stares at me through the window every single day ( Read more... )

Or worse, teaching it.

Besides, I thought Bastard Squirrel was protecting Selara's baby?

Incidentally, from this camera angle, you've successfuly made him look roughly the size of a Corgi.

Hmm my housemate John has an interesting suggestion. Not sure if you've tried anything like this. You could take a mousetrap and tie it to the screen in such a way that when the squirrel jiggles the screen it makes the mousetrap snap (with a nice loud noise). He thinks that loud noises may help in deterring Mr. Squirrel. A narrowly focused motion sensor with a loud noise making thing attached could also work. Dunno if that is helpful or not but is a suggestion that I thought I would pass along :)

From what I've heard about Bastard Squirrel, if J tries the motion sensor thingy, and leaves the house, then by the time she gets home, Bastard Squirrel will have rewired it to the front door and hooked it up to a spring loaded bowl of Jello aimed at said door.

That sounds like something Ken Fagan might come up with.

Could I entice you to hide the photo behind an lj-cut? The size is making my browser cry. :)

Also, now I want a photo of Grey Rabbit. :)

I can't help it, he is adorable. If you can entice him to move, we'll take him in the Phank :)
