LOL! Figures...it was a pack of furries (of all people) who were up in arms about zoophilia, equating it with child abuse. *scratches head* Right or wrong as you (or I) may consider the practice, I think that's a lame comparison.
I do think it's abusive, but not quite like child abuse. It makes me think more, perhaps, of inappropriate contact with someone with mental retardation. But it makes me sad when folks think that somehow animals can consent to something resembling a "relationship."
I love my dog. I anthropomorphize her. I call her my kid. And I think she has emotions. But I don't delude myself into thinking that those can equate even nearly to human emotions, with the capacities of adult humans.
