Have I been lying to myself? I think I have a little, and part of that is so that I can hide things from the people around me. I don't want to make silly things a big deal. (Pretty sure I do it enough as it is).. But think about it. How often do we lie to ourselves, try to convince ourselves that we feel some way that we don't or think something we ( Read more... )

Yeeeah. Probably didn't need to hear the getting old part. And that's what everyone says, but you see, it's not like I don't hang out with guys. I have some guy friends I hang out with... I talk to and get to know guys at work. But when I hang out with guys... it's just that. Hanging out with a friend. Girl, guy, whatever. But I've never actually been out with a guy where I considered it a DATE. Of course there was that whole "We're emotional dating" thing which creeped me out and turned me kinda away from THAT friendship... which is okay because he doesn't have his crap together anyway and succeeded in annoying me further with things... or a lack of things, rather ( ... )

Bake sale is Sunday, May 3rd and it's down here in St. Charles.

I understand where you are... sigh. Heh, what are the chances I'll actually ask gas station guy if he's single? Pretty low, though I like to banter with him. I don't feel a need to date just to 'get comfortable' with boys. I found a book in my friend Emily's room yesterday that I've picked through. It encourages dating, and gives all these reasons and stuff, but at the same time I'm just like... Why bother? I don't have money to throw away on things that are doubtful to work out, and I don't want to waste anyone else's money.

Do you know how much I miss you right now? Almost enough to make me not as sad about leaving.
