This is such a lovely deconstruction of Elijah's letter. And I love that you had Elena understand the significance of 'always and forever'. That letter was so perfect, and Elena's thoughts here are wonderful. ♥

I thought as she had heard those same words from Rebekah when she talked about her pact with Elijah and Klaus she should understand exactly what he was saying.

And yeah, the letter was completely perfect :D

Thank you! I was worried it might look as if Elena read a bit too much into it, but somehow it seemed right, so I'm glad you agree.

And yup! I have no doubt those words now mean a lot to Elena too.
