"Well that was that, Angel had left and he wasn't forced to constantly listen to all the little details of his planned future with the one woman his poet's heart loved more than his life or his soul. Then again sometimes he hated his soul, without it he knew the demon within would have given into the desire to kill the man torturing him with stories of cookies and promises of an undying love. He really couldn't understand how no one saw exactly how minor the difference between Angel and Angelus really was"
That's the truth! Poor Spike. I enjoyed this. First time I've seen the idea of Dawn with The Immortal. Yikes!

Thanks! And you really can't help but to feel bad for Spike, I hope the ending made it better. And truthfully neither have I, I don't think I even particularly like Dawn/Immortal, but she's young she can afford to make some mistakes, especially if Buffy and Spike are there to help her deal with the consequences.

Silly Spike. Don't repeat your grandpop's mistakes, by doing things for your gal's "own good". That's not respecting her enough to make her own choices. I'll leave it up to Buffy to make you see the error of your ways, though. I imagine she'll come up with something suitable.

Nice. I liked that Illyria was the catalyst for things. It's always hard to tell if she's doing things altruistically or not.

I think he started out not calling Buffy for "her won good", but I hope I've shown that in the course of Angel's fifth season the reasons multiplied. And I really believe that if they hadn't he would have contacted her eventually. Still, he definitely deserves a bit of a punishment, I'm sure Buffy will think of something >;)
I'm not sure Illyria herself knows the pureness of her intentions.
Glad you enjoyed reading this.

Here on a rec; very nice Spike. He's just exactly the guy who would do that too, isn't he?

I love Ilyria defending her "pet" to Buffy. Very cute!

I'm glad you think my Spike acted in character. And unfortunately yes her really is.
Of course Illyria would defend her 'pet', I think that's the reaction she would have shown if someone tried to strike Wesley and as she's grown fond of Spike since NFA I thought it would go in this situation too. I'm pleased agree, I thought it was cute too, that's why I wrote this :)

Lovely reunion story.
Jealousy might become his new favorite emotion.
Heee! Poor Spikey! :)
