Seven years old, I take the Kansas record from a plastic crate and stare at the cover. There is a picture of an old man writing something, his head aching in frustration. I am riveted by the familiar cartoon imagery, but I don't understand what the hell is going on.

This is my first memory of discovering music.

I'll never forget when you and Ben sang "My Girl" to me after school. I think about that often because it was so cute and it felt nice that you both trusted me enough to sing in front of me! So, your love for music stretched even beyond your family! Thanks for sharing!

Aw, I remember that! And there was the middle part where I had to sort of carry him down off the trunk, only he'd grown a lot so it was really a struggle! HAHA! My whole family loves you, Bri-Bo, so we weren't afraid to show you our musical side. :) Thanks.

Hahaha you knew I'd comment on this one. What a great entry! Do you have to have a paid account to post pics like that? That looks really cool. I remember reading the lyrics to the Kansas album and thinking I had never read anything so deep and profound. LOL!

I knew you would appreciate it. I think about our Musical Days often.

You don't have to have a paid account to post pics. I just save them to my computer (right click + save picture) and then when you're typing your entry click on the icon of the tiny picture. It should be pretty self-explanatory from there. :)

I was dying to know, did Little Ben take his piercing out before he came home? Since you didn't write about it I'm guessing yes.

Haha yes he totally took it out. You couldn't even tell. I keep forgetting about it. I think he plans on taking it out and keeping it out, especially if he gets a job at the state this summer.
