people don't think of dictionary definitions of words like "victim"; they react to the stigma which surrounds such a term.

obisotray made a good point; i don't think they were attacking you in any way.

i'd suggest putting away the dictionary and taking any advice, criticizm or observations with a little more modesty. it doesn't make much sense to post such a respectable entry as you did above, and then to react to comments like 's with the obligatory, stand-offish dictionary definition response.

somehow everyone thinks i'm stuffy and aloof and self-righteous; really, consider that i might be smiling. and i always listen to every bit of criticism i can, i learn from it. i was up late the other night reading 19 screens of comments on this issue at ronpaulforums.com, and i read every single comment in the blog at dailyKOS, where they compared me to trent lott, called me a gay neocon and wanted me tarred and feathered.

one of the things i'm having the hardest time understanding is when i say something like 'i take full personal responsibility' someone will blog comment back 'you asshole, you should take some responsibility for your actions, you prick.'
