I really like this. John bending over Sherlock's head, kissing his neck, just did me in.

Thank you; it was an image that just wouldn't leave me - Sherlock eating and being almost like a normal person, and John having to touch him because he's too angry and mixed up to talk. John wants Sherlock to be safe and normal, but he also can't stand that; he needs Sherlock to be a self-destructive freak, or he's just not the same person. Poor lambs! /pets them

It's just too easy and fun to think of. I have to think of, and write, other stuff first though, so I'll get on that ASAP. It's a great motivator - "Hurry up and write X so you can get to writing Y!"

I love this - love it - Sherlock is just so strange and weird, and makes such complete sense in a very odd way - the way he talks about this, and goes about it, is wonderful. John's trying to train him, with a little success - he saved him a bun! - insane, but very fun to watch. Very, VERY hot.

Ha - thanks! Sherlock's not incompetent - there are just things he doesn't consider. And there are also things John doesn't consider because he's used to operating in the "normal" world. Fortunately there are only certain kinds of bullshit John will put up with, because Sherlock actually does a lot of bullshit because he's a) a Holmes b) a childish sociopath whose favorite form of attention is making people exasperated with him and c) sometimes a robot. :)

I thought about adding a scene where he smokes out with Mrs. Hudson, but ultimately decided against it. Sherlock stoned on marijuana would be WAY too crazy to describe as just a part of a story. :) I think it might have to get its own, separate story....
