Loved those books. Haven't heard of Baroque, and have always heard "Isaac" pronounced as two syllables.

The Baroque Cycle is a terrific collection of books about all kinds of things, but Isaac, in this case, is Isaac Newton, and I love him. ;) Baroque Cycle's not SF in the traditional sense, but it definitely has that feel to it, and the more I consider it, I come to suspect that the first volume, Quicksilver, is one of my favorite books of all.
