I'm a Watcher. Of all people, I should know better than to give a vampire ideas.
Giles still couldn't believe his current predicament. It had started so innocently. Spike had been behaving well. Well, apart from eating all the Weetabix, again! Passions was even starting to develop an odd attraction, not that he'd ever admit it to his vampiric house guest.
But still, Watcher business was Watcher business and couldn't be interrupted, even for...strangely fascinating soap operas. So of course, chaining Spike in the bathtub again so he could do his research uninterrupted was the sensible solution. Spike could catch up with the convoluted plot line tomorrow.
He should have known it wouldn't be that simple. But how could he have known how determined Spike was to have his own way? He barely knew how it had happened. One minute, Spike was allowing himself to be tamely led to the bathroom.
And the next, Giles found himself the one chained up. In front of the telly. With Passions playing silently in the background.
Because apparently the one thing Spike enjoyed more than soap operas was licking helpless Watchers to death, one slow inch at a time.
