I knew today was the 15th of June....it is after all, my dad's birthday, but it just occurred to me when I heard the newscaster say, "..on today, June 15th..." I thought, "wow, 23 years ago I attended my very first rock concert."

Well, it looks like we've been missed by the typhoon. It made a more northerly turn, so the most we'll get is some rain and wind. Apparently, it won't be bad since everyone is to go back to work tomorrow. Paul is supposedly 'on call' but we'll see how that works out. Well, I'm still waiting for the storm. The winds should be getting to the island sometime tonight. Right now, it's just cloudy with the occassional peek through of the sun and it's humid. It looks like tomorrow we'll be buckling down and preparing for Typhoon Kong-Rey (right now, it's still only a tropical storm, but they are expecting it to change over the next 24 hours). I guess tomorrow at work, we'll be preparing the library for the storm as well.

.....and I have to work tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to it. Saturdays always seem to go by so slowly......whether I do alot of work or not. I have a ton of things to do, so I'm not sure what I'll do (catalog, compare book conditions or work on stuff from the front office? Hmmmm, choices, choices, choices ( Read more... )

Well, it's the end of my work week. I hope today goes well. My plan is to do nothing but catalog today. :) I'd like to get alot out to the front so we have new stuff going out. We'll see how it goes.
