I feel the same way; I called the Harry/Ginny thing years and years ago, but it was fine with me 'cause I like Ginny. It's sad that you can't offer any criticism about the books, though. I mean, isn't that part of the point of discussing a book? That's one of the things I enjoyed about working at a bookstore; the employees weren't afraid to point out any fallbacks in the books they love.

I don't particularly care about it either way. Like who he ends up with.
I know! I love talking about the books. I can offer criticism about just about any book with my roommate, but when it's one of her absolute, die-hard favorites, it's like it's sacred text.
That's why I tend to stick to my most in-depth book discussion with my fellow English major friends. My roommate sometimes feels hurt that I leave her out of that kind of book discussion, but I don't see how she can't figure out why, when she reacts this way when it's about her favorites.

I don't think anyone did. Anyone old enough to pick up that kind of thing, anyway. Yeah, the descriptions she had between the two of them, "the lion roaring in Harry's chest" or whatever, were amusing.
The Ron/Hermione thing has been so much more obvious, and dragged along for so long, it has started to get on my nerves. I mean, I know, when friendship turns into a romantic relationship it often can take that long in real life, but who honestly reads fantasy stories for reality?

I was so proud I actually came up with a witticism in advance so I was actually able to use it while it was still timely.

I knew a couple people in high school who were like that. I just don't understand that about anything.
Haha, two weeks vs. a month. Though, actually, that's not such a big discrepancy now that I think about it.
the Potter. Yes, yes, I think that's a good name for it. The "the" is very telling.
